Itinéraire
Ce circuit traverse la frontière entre le Belize occidental et le Guatemala. Le processus de passage de la frontière avec nous est simple et assisté par notre équipe. Vous paierez d'abord la taxe de départ du Belize (20 USD) par personne et recevrez un timbre de sortie dans votre passeport. Nous vous assisterons ensuite à la frontière guatémaltèque, où vous recevrez votre cachet d'entrée. L'ensemble du processus de passage de la frontière dure environ 30 minutes.
Après environ 1 heure de route au Guatemala, nous ferons un bref arrêt pour prendre des photos du lac Petén Itzá, l'un des trois plus grands lacs du Guatemala.
Après un total de 2 heures de route de la frontière, vous arriverez au parc national de Tikal, où il est temps de vous préparer pour votre visite guidée. Votre Guide Expert local vous guidera à travers les points forts du site archéologique de Tikal, y compris la Grande Place avec Temple I et Temple II, l'Acropole Nord, l'Acropole Centrale, Temple III, Temple IV, et le complexe du Monde Perdu. Vous aurez du temps libre pour escalader des temples sélectionnés et prendre des photos depuis les meilleurs points de vue, selon les recommandations de votre Guide. En marchant le long des sentiers de la jungle, vous pourrez observer la flore et la faune locales, comme les singes-araignées, les singes hurleurs, les coatis, les dindes, les toucans et de nombreuses autres espèces d'oiseaux. Après une visite guidée d'environ 3,5 à 4 heures, il sera temps de commencer le voyage de retour.
Sur le chemin du retour de Tikal, nous irons environ 30 minutes dans un restaurant local pour profiter du déjeuner inclus. Vous aurez le choix entre cinq options de menu, dont des options végétariennes et végétaliennes, avec une boisson incluse. Asseyez-vous et savourez votre repas servi avec des tortillas de maïs faites à la main.
Après le déjeuner, nous retournerons à la frontière environ 1h30 de route. Notre équipe vous assistera pour le passage de la frontière pour retourner au Belize. Aucuns frais frontaliers ne sont exigés au poste de retour.

We took a day trip to Tikal from San Ignacio with my parents. Our tour guide for the day was Sergio who made the trip really special!!! We loved the visit to the Tikal Mayan site. We did a day trip from our hotel in San Ignacio and had a great time. Everything was managed from drivers to guides. We had a little hiccup in our set up but we wouldn’t have even known and it made absolutely no difference to our day. In fact, we ended up interacting with two extra guides beyond our assigned one and got even more perspectives on the ruins. Had many laughs and a brilliant time touring these amazing ruins (would also say, if you are not sure whether Tikal is worth it, it absolutely is and having a guide is essential to get the full experience). Highly recommend the tour and the company that did it for us!
Our tour guide has lived in the Tikal his whole life and had incredible knowledge of the area and history. The visit to Tikal probably wouldn’t be worth it without the tour guide. He also took us down trails that the larger groups didn’t take so we always had a more personal experience

Great experience overall. From having a contact help with the Belize-Guatemala border crossing, to the drive to Tikal and meeting our guide was all done seamlessly. Our guide was very good, able to explain the history of the various sites as well as the plant and animal life around us. It made for a much better experience than if we went just ourselves. There is a fair amount of walking and stairs due to the scale of the ruins, so be ready for some exertion, but well worth the effort!
