Very good tour with well-informed guide Tanju.

Tanju introduced my family to Istanbul in the best way! We had a detailed tour of Hagia Sofia, and he answered all of our questions thoroughly and thoughtfully. Tanju was also incredibly helpful and especially kind to my mother who struggles with mobility issues. He was very patient and encouraging to her. In addition, my father wanted to buy a Turkish carpet, and asked Tanju some basic questions about what and where to shop. With our encouragement, he led us to the wonderful Vezirhan carpet shop, where we were entertained and absolutely charmed by the team. We learned so much, and walked away with some beautiful carpets and fun memories. From there, Tanju led us to the hippodrome and explained more history about the area, all while taking family photos for us. My parents both said that Tanju made this city come alive for them and said it was their favorite part of their vacation, and their new favorite city. My father even says he has a new friend In Istanbul! Thank you, Tanju, for a fabulous tour!

Our guide, Tanju H. Abo, was wonderful. His knowledge of Turkish history is very deep. He is personable and very fluent in English. It was clear that he wants visitors to appreciate the history of Hagia Sophia and it architecture. We cannot say enough about what a terrific guide he is.

Hands down the best tour / guide ever! Tanju took us all over Istanbul for a day (our first time visiting). He is incredibly knowledgeable about the history of the city and we learned so much. We spent out first day in Istanbul with Tanju which was a great intro to the culture, the food and the sites. He even gave us ideas for several day trips we could take while in town. We took him up on almost all of his recommendations and were never disappointed. I can not recommend the tour and Tanju more!
