The name of the driver/guide that I would like to review is Sulaiman Kizito. Everyone calls him Sula, and it seems that almost everyone in Uganda knows him. I have had the good luck to visit several countries in Africa and go on many safaris. I have had good guides on all of my adventures. However, I have never had a guide as wonderful as Sula. Our first sighting of Sula was at the Entebbe airport when a broad shouldered fellow with a giant smile greeted us with a sign with my name on it. I admit that I was taken aback in the first minutes by the fact that despite his sturdy build and confident demeanor, Sula is disabled to a degree, and he walks with some difficulty. This concern melted away immediately as he ushered us to the Landcruiser and hoisted our numerous pieces of luggage into the back. Right from the inception of our journey through large swaths of Uganda Sula was full of relevant information about our surroundings, the lifestyle of the population, local agriculture, indigenous plants and animals and culture. I was continually surprised by the extent of his knowledge, yet when he did not know an answer, he was quick to say so. Two of the most important characteristics that Sula brought to the journey were his eagle eyes and his driving skills. Again and again he surprised us by pointing out birds and other animals that he saw at great distances while simultaneously driving on a difficult stretch of road. It was like he had eyes at the side of his head. He would spot something, stop the jeep and if necessary back up a bit to make it easier for us to see what he had seen. He was good not only at spotting things, but also at describing where in the spread of savannah before us we could fix on the animal or bird. He never lost patience with our desire to take multiple pictures, and even volunteered to photograph for us if we wanted to be in the picture too. We were two couples and both of us are experienced 4-wheel drivers who have spent years behind the wheels of jeeps. One thing that we all agreed upon is that Sula is a great driver, handling the Landcruiser with skill and always making us feel safe. This does not mean that we didn't bump about. That is part of the delight of a 4-wheel drive safari. All of the above may seem like the normal attributes of a good driver/guide, so what made Sula so special - because special he was. Sula was easy to be with. He made us feel like friends from day 1. He was full of jokes and teasing and seemed never to leave off smiling. He talked about his family and listened to stories of ours too. When we had problems with our accommodations he quickly took action to solve them. I cannot imagine a better, more talented guide than Sula.
Our tourist guide never showed up, it was very disappointing. We were waiting in the meeting point and couldn't contact the tourist guide.
What an amazing tour. My son and I took this tour and it was worth every penny. The personal attention and interaction with a private, knowledgeable and friendly tour guide was incredible. Valerie was Roma native and had a degree in Archeology. Her knowledge and experience with the history of Roma was unlimited! Valerie had my son, Zach and I intrigued and our attention the entire tour. Let me also say that the tour company assured we had a vegan restaurant scheduled for lunch which was very accommodating for Zach and he said the food was delicious. That was the only part of the tour I didn’t like 🤣.. I don’t want to Leave out drive Alejandro out, as he made sure we were hydrated and got us around aroma safely… Thank you.. I’d definitely do it again!
This was an amazing tour if you have a day to see the major sites. Skipping all the Colosseum was totally worth it. Our guide was amazing explaining culture to our son.
Greetings Mr. Phillips! Thank you for the time you dedicated to us by rating our service. We are glad that everything worked out well. Kind Regards.
Fabio and his team did a tremendous job. Knowledgeable guides, great drivers with immaculate vehicles. Would not visit Italy without using Fabio and his team. Made the trip so much more enjoyable.
Greetings Mr. Richard! Thank you such for your wonderful words! We are very happy that you enjoyed our limo service and thank you for the time you dedicated to write us a review. Hope to have you back soon!
We have used Fabio and his team several times and their service is excellent! Their attention to our needs is always outstanding and they ensure that we are exceeding expectations on every visit. We have referred at least 15 friends and all have enjoyed the services that are provided. All continue to use his services. We couldn't be more pleased and know that you will too!
Our trip was made more special with our driver and guide Fabio. His knowledge of everything we asked about was impressive.
We did not visit Rome on this trip however, we contacted Fabio to help with our trip to Lucca, Italy. He arranged for us to be picked up at the airport in Pisa, he arranged a full day wine country tour (Volterra), and he arranged for our transportation back to the airport in Pisa. Everything went smoothly. Our first driver Emiliano, for the airport pick up and the wine country tour was amazing. He was polite, knowledgeable and personable. The transportation was excellent, clean and comfortable. Our driver, Andrea, for the return to the airport was also great. I will definately use Fabio as our "go-to" person in the future.
Dear Mr. Cervone, thank you for the nice words about our service, it was a real pleasure to work with you and your wife. Hope to have you back soon! Best Regards. Fabio.
Fabio is an extremely welcoming gentleman who provided us with all our tour sights. He helped us with an amazing tour of the Vatican, with a very enjoyable and knowledge experience. Highly recommend!
We were in Rome three years ago with our daughter and son-in-law and had an amazing experience with Fabio and his team, so needless to say when we were there this week, we went to the well again and reached out to Fabio for all our limo needs. It is so comforting to know you have someone that is reliable and prompt when you are abroad, and Fabio fits that bill. They get our highest recommendation and when we return, Rome Tours Connections will be our go to Firm! Thanks, Fabio. Bruce and Joette B
