Ce plateau de tournage est situé sur une ferme familiale. La visite révélerait comment cette terre agricole pittoresque a été transformée en Comté de la Terre du Milieu. Découvrez les collines, les allées et les trous Hobbiton du cinéma. Des guides expérimentés vous guideront et vous donneront des informations intéressantes sur la fabrication des films. Voir en direct les trous Hobbiton, le Green Dragon Inn, The Mill et le Party Tree. Votre aventure sur la Terre du Milieu se terminera par une bière, un cidre ou une bière au gingembre gratuits au Green Dragon Inn.
Le ver Glow connu sous le nom d'Arachnocampa Luminosa, est unique en Nouvelle-Zélande. Des milliers de ces minuscules créatures émettent une lumière luminescente incomparable, votre guide expert vous informera de la signification historique et géologique de la grotte. Les grottes ont été formées il y a plus de 30 millions d'années et comprennent 2 niveaux. Le niveau supérieur est sec et comprend l'entrée des grottes et des formations connues sous le nom de catacombes. Au niveau inférieur se trouvent les passages de cours d’eau et la cathédrale. Depuis le niveau supérieur, parcourez un trajet de 45 minutes en bateau à travers le pays des merveilles étoilées de la grotte du ver luisant. Promenez-vous dans la majestueuse cathédrale Cove, réputée pour son acoustique.

We were given the pleasure of having James B. from the UK, as our host for our private tour. He was extremely knowledgeable and was able to answer ALL of our questions (Including, but not limited to animal/bird species, landscaping, connection to the movies, even the grass used in different areas of Hobbiton!!). He was unbelievably awesome and made our experience that much better. If you ever come to visit, ask for James!!

Hobbiton was awesome, so much more than expected…our driver was great, very informative and so helpful at end of day when I need to make a visit to urgent care (had a bad cough needing attention)…

We had a wonderful trip traveling to the Hobbiton Movie Set and Waitimo Glowworm Cave with the “Black Car Transfers & Tours Auckland”. The driver Mr. Christ was a very friendly and knowledgable person to introduce us the interesting places to visit and the restaurants to go for dinner in Auckland. He was a very good driver with an experience in driving on the road in order to avoid the traffic condition that could have occurred because of the rugby match. And we finally arrived safely in the Queen-street of Auckland at the end of the trip. And we are grateful for the good service provided by the “Black Car Transfers & Tour Auckland.

On our first trip ever to New Zealand, it was critically important to us that we had a chance to see some of the key unique attractions and understand better the local life, wildlife, and history. As part of that, we booked a bigger “private” tour on a bus. But at the last minute, we decided we’d be much better off with a more intimate and comfortable experience. Alas I was reluctant because of the significant additional cost. But my wife pushed me to upgrade us, and I’m so glad she did because, thankfully, we were swept away on an amazing and amazingly comfortable day! Kris was a wonderful steward of all of the vehicle, tour destinations, and the country. Not only did he provide some wonderful conversation and commentary on all aspects of the land and the landmarks, he also went above and beyond to rearrange parts of the day on the fly to ensure we had VIP access and the best part of the experience. Went on a tour to Hobbiton movie set and Waitomo Caves. Chris, our driver, was an excellent Tour guide. He gave us an excellent explanation of the history of the caves. He took good care of us and treated us very well. He was an excellent tour guide. I would recommend him to others and would use him again.
