We did the 2hour tour. It was excellent and informative! We particularly liked going to the Roman ruins. When we were finished, Guillaume dropped us off at a nice brassiere for a glass of wine. The Citroen is so cool people take lots of pictures of it!
The whole experience was one of sheer delight. As a 75 year old travel veteran I have been around. A combination of a beautiful classic car, a fantastic host, nice weather, and enchanting surroundings blended together to deliver 2 hours of pure joy. The Big Bus cannot negotiate all the narrow streets the Citroën can manage to reach the unique sites. Coupled with Guillaume's detailed knowledge and being very nimble on his feet is what separates this trip from any other option. Guillaume kills all competition. We drank champagne just after 11am at the Place de la Bourse after collapsing the roof. An experience beyond my darling wife's imagination who says she now loves me again after taking her on this trip. . Ok it's expensive but the it's all about value for 💰 money.
Champagne while riding around the city was a fun and different way to experience Bordeaux. would recommend to others
Wonderful memory and experience, as my father owned a DS23 when I was a little boy. Great service and enjoyable conversations with Guillaume, a big thanks. My wife and daughter felt like stars ;-)
Guillaume was a wonderful guide in his classic convertible. We were able to access picturesque streets and neighborhoods unavailable to large busses . Highly recommended .
While is hard to beat an afternoon in Paris in the fall season, it is also challenging to escape the many tourists roaming the streets, museums and cafes; Paris rather belongs to all of us. A good friend recommended seeing more of the surrounding countryside by touring around historic Bordeaux with Guillaume in his vintage 1973 Citroen. For car lovers, this is a once in a lifetime as these cars are rare! My husband and I left luggage behind and took the fast train from Paris into Bordeaux. Guillaume picked us up at the station, so it was a beautiful and easy commute. We toured the charming country vineyards during harvest, top down and hair blowing blissfully in the crisp air. However, we asked Guillaume if we could opt for lunch rather than a wine tasting and he graciously took us to a working vineyard chateau that had a lovely little cafe with great food, and of course great wine. We invited him to join us for lunch, which I highly recommend as he is a gracious and charming dining companion (and his English was far superior to our French for conversation!) We highly recommend Bordeaux Classic Cars - a different memory for your next trip to Paris. Or... We may just stay in Bordeaux next visit...also charming and with a story to tell, and access to a repeat ride in that fabulous Citroen!
Thank you very much Barbara for your testimonial, I am so satisfied you spent such a nice moment. As you wrote, France is much more than Paris, and Bordeaux is a highlight of Beautiful France. Bordeaux city is so beautiful with the well-preserved and very elegant 18th century buildings, and the vineyards are the key to French culture and "savoir-faire" based on 20 centuries of experience producing some of the best wines of the world! You were so keen to invite me for lunch at La Table du Lavoir, it was a great moment that I loved to share with both of you. I would love to welcome you again for a longer stay in Bordeaux area, and to give you advice for organizing your trip in our beautiful region. Guillaume
