QUARTIER Français - Depuis 1718 Truman Capote a décrit un jour la Nouvelle-Orléans comme « de toutes les villes secrètes, la plus secrète, la plus différente, en réalité, de ce qu’un étranger est autorisé à observer ». Le quartier Français de La Nouvelle-Orléans est peut-être son quartier le plus secret. Le quartier Français est l'une des plus anciennes communautés des États-Unis. QUARTIER DES JARDINS - Depuis 1832 La romance s’épanouit alors que l’après-midi est consacrée à explorer les souvenirs du passé antebellum de La Nouvelle-Orléans, à contempler des demeures isolées, à déambuler sur les trottoirs bordés de briques. Sa canopée de chênes est mondialement connue, tandis que ses jardins caractéristiques d'hibiscus, de myrtes crêpes et de trompettes d'anges, en font l'un des plus beaux quartiers de La Nouvelle-Orléans. CITY PARK - Depuis 1854 City Park aussi magique et unique que la ville de La Nouvelle-Orléans. Cette oasis de plein air de 1 300 hectares enchante les Néo-Orléanais depuis 1854, ce qui en fait l’un des plus anciens parcs urbains du pays. Le joyau de la couronne de City Park est le plus grand peuplement de chênes vivants matures du sud du monde, qui comprend un Grand Chêne qui date de plus de 800 ans. Ces arbres uniques sont connus pour leur forme sculpturale distinctive - certains des arbres les plus anciens ont des branches qui sont deux fois plus longues que le chêne est haut. La forme ovale peut être retracée à son époque en tant que piste de course. Devenu cimetière après la guerre civile en 1872. Dernière demeure de plus de 9.000 personnes. Paul was wonderful tour guide! We were able to book a private tour which was great for my child that is autistic. We really enjoyed the personal nature of Paul's presentation and how he was able to accommodate our wishes when we wanted to stop and take pictures. He was very knowledgeable about the areas we visited and even gave us tips on other places to visit. The price was reasonable and we enjoyed the friendliness and pleasant atmosphere Paul created on the tour.

Paul was wonderful to work with. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and very accommodating throughout the experience. One of the biggest perks was being able to keep our luggage with us after the cruise, which saved us so much hassle. He picked us up right at the port and dropped us off at the airport after the tour, making everything seamless and stress free. We learned so much along the way and were able to take in beautiful architecture throughout the city, even in the cemetery. I would highly recommend booking this at the beginning of your visit. It really helps you get your bearings and appreciate everything you’re seeing even more. It will give you an idea of where you want to spend your time in New Orleans. There is so much to do from the French quarters, to the river.

Paul Angelica didn’t just tell us about New Orleans—he taught us. Early on, he said the most important point he would make all morning was this: the French and Spanish ruled the area for a combined total of 85 years (1718–1803). As the tour unfolded, that statement came to life in everything around us—the homes, the cemeteries, the culture, and the layers of history woven into each street. Paul doesn’t just carry knowledge about the city; he shares a genuine, deep love for it that makes the experience feel personal and unforgettable. As the scent of jasmine drifted through the morning air, we rode along the Garden District’s quiet, oak-lined streets. Paul guided us at an easy pace, sharing stories of the neighborhood’s rich history and pointing out the distinctive architectural details that make each home feel singular and alive with character. Paul made a statement during the tour that once New Orleans gets into you, it never really leaves—and he’s absolutely right. I was already planning my next trip before we even checked out of the hotel. I’ll be back, NOLA… and when I return, I’ll make sure Paul is my tour guide again.

This tour was so much fun! Paul is so knowledgeable and passionate about NOLA. He has a great sense of humor and was really engaging. He picked us up at our Airbnb and we drove around to a bunch of different places. We got out at the park & got beignets. We got to walk around and see the beautiful trees and landscape. Paul took us to some neighborhoods and taught us about the homes in the areas. This was more than just a tour with the same talking points. By the end of it we felt like he was more of an old friend than a tour guide. I would absolutely do this tour again. 10/10.
