le centre d'accueil d'Arataki est une porte d'entrée chaleureuse et accueillante vers les merveilles naturelles de la région occidentale d'Auckland. En tant que centre éducatif et point de départ pour les amateurs de plein air, le Centre joue un rôle important en connectant les visiteurs avec la beauté immaculée et le riche patrimoine culturel de la région.
Les chutes de Karekare sont situées dans la partie ouest du parc régional des chaînes Waitākere, près du village de Karekare, célèbre pour être le lieu de tournage de The Piano. Avec son environnement magnifique et son accessibilité facile, cette cascade est considérée comme l'une des attractions naturelles incontournables de la Nouvelle-Zélande.
Le Mercer Bay Loop Track commence haut au-dessus de Piha et vous emmène au promontoire de Te Ahua, le site d'un important pāori (village fortifié), avec de superbes vues sur la côte ouest.
Piha est l'une des plus célèbres plages de sable noir de la côte ouest d'Auckland. Faisant partie du parc régional des chaînes Waitākere, Piha est un endroit populaire pour les nageurs et les surfeurs.

Jonglok was an excellent tour guide. He had great insight into the places visited and was patient and accommodating. He made it an exciting experience and was helpful in providing great family photos with memories to treasure.
I am so very glad we booked this tour. Jonglok was very informative and kind and an excellent driver. I was eyeing a lookout point about 30 minutes extra walk and as we were the only 2 booked that day (winter), we VERY graciously obliged and it was TOTALLY worth the sore legs and butt! We thoroughly enjoyed our tour today with our friendly host, Jonglok. As someone who is prone to motion sickness, I especially appreciated his smooth and careful driving, which made the journey very comfortable. It was wonderful to relax and take in the beautiful scenery at each stop without having to worry about driving ourselves. This is a fantastic morning tour and a great way to escape the city for a few hours. Highly recommended!
