Le palais d'été de Bang Pa-In a été utilisé par les rois thaïlandais comme résidence d'été au 17ème siècle. Cependant, le palais a été détruit avec la chute du royaume d'Ayutthaya et a été restauré par le roi Rama IV au milieu du XIXe siècle. Les structures représentent un mélange intrigant entre l'architecture européenne et thaïlandaise.
Ce temple avait également un lien avec le règne du roi Naraesuan. En 1592, lorsque le roi Naraesuan a conquis la guerre avec le roi Uparat du Myanmar, le roi Naraesuan a construit un grand chedi comme symbole de la conquête. Le chedi s'appelait « Chaimongkhon ». Beaucoup de Thaïlandais l'appelaient "Chedi Yai". Après cela, il a été combiné avec "Wat Yai Chaimongkhon".
Viharn Pra Mongkolborpit est l'endroit où se trouve l'image de Bouddha en bronze dans l'attitude de soumettre Mara. Cette image de Bouddha a une mesure de tour à 9,55 mètres et une hauteur à 12,45 mètres. C'est l'une des plus grandes images de Bouddha en Thaïlande.
Wat Phra Si Sanphet était situé à l'intérieur du Grand Palais et servait de chapelle royale, comme le fait Wat Phra Kaeo à Bangkok. À l'apogée d'Ayutthaya, c'était le plus grand temple de la ville. Lorsque le roi Borom Trai Lokanat a ordonné la construction de nouveaux quartiers d'habitation, ce palais résidentiel a été transformé en temple et l'établissement de Wat Phra Si Sanphet.
Wat Mahathat, en Thaïlande, était un temple royal du royaume d'Ayutthaya. C'est l'un des temples les plus anciens et les plus importants de l'histoire d'Ayutthaya car il abritait la sainte relique du Bouddha. Les attractions de Wat Mahathat comprennent des vestiges d'anciens bâtiments tels que des pagodes, des pagodes octogonales, une salle royale, de petits temples, des peintures murales sous un arbre Bodhi et la célèbre tête de Bouddha de style Ayutthaya en grès dans la racine d'un arbre.
Wat Chaiwattanaram est l'un des sites historiques les plus visités d'Ayutthaya. Le temple a été construit en 1630 par le roi Prasat Thong pour honorer sa mère, avec le style architectural influencé par le temple d'Angkor au Cambodge-sa caractéristique unique est un grand prang central (pagode de style khmer) entouré de prangs plus petits, symbolisant le mont Sumeru, la montagne des dieux selon la croyance hindoue. L'éclairage nocturne rend le temple encore plus exotique et beau.

We had an excellent morning visiting Ayutthaya and the summer palace of Bang Pa-In. Everything was very well organized, and the places were beautiful and peaceful. Our afternoon trip to Ayutthaya was an incredible experience and a perfect way to discover Thailand’s rich historical heritage. Ayutthaya Historical Park was fascinating to explore. The ancient ruins and temples showcase the greatness of the former capital and create a truly unique atmosphere. Wat Mahathat was particularly memorable. The famous Buddha head embraced by tree roots is an extraordinary sight and one of the most iconic landmarks in Thailand. Wat Lokayasutharam impressed us with its magnificent reclining Buddha. The site feels calm and spiritual, making it a very special place to visit. Wat Na Phra Men was another highlight. Its beautiful architecture and historical significance make it stand out among the temples of Ayutthaya. Wat Chaiwatthanaram was absolutely spectacular. The elegant structures, historical importance, and stunning surroundings make it one of the most beautiful temples in the region. A huge thank you to our guide Lin, who made this tour exceptional. Her enthusiasm, deep knowledge, and clear explanations helped us understand the history behind every site we visited. She shared so many interesting stories and details that sparked our curiosity and inspired us to learn even more about Thailand’s history and culture. Even though I arrived about 40 minutes late because of Bangkok’s terrible morning traffic, the tour team was very understanding and welcoming. Once we got into the van, our guide Lin immediately made us feel comfortable. She is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about Thai history, and she explained every site in a fascinating and engaging way. Lin is the kind of guide every traveler hopes for. In 110-degree heat, while managing allergies and a long day, she never wavered in her patience, kindness, and professionalism. She took photos of our family at every opportunity, was attentive to my grandmother's needs—holding her hand, bringing her along everywhere, and making sure she felt cared for and included at every stop. What really stood out was her responsiveness. She answered every question we threw at her, added new locations to the tour on the fly, and even worked her charm to get the monk at the temple to provide blessing bracelets for us (no small feat!). She balanced being knowledgeable with being personable—sharing engaging fun facts and personal stories that showed genuine openness about her culture and heritage. Lin was absolutely amazing… and I feel like I am picky when it comes to touring. She was so kind, helping my elderly mother around. Great tour with visit of Summer Palace and the relevant temples and facilities in Ayutthaya. Everything was great, could only have been a little less fast - in the end we were back a little earlier than planned.

Adam as our personal tourguide/historian/photographer and Rock as our driver were both so amazing and made the day full of adventure. They both ensured our wellbeing and safety throughout the day.
