Our tour of Gallipoli was a wonderful experience

The ANZAC commemorative tour was exceptional and more than we could ask for. There was excellent communications prior to the tour, during and after. Out driver and guide did an awesome job during the tour. We felt safe and well prepared throughout the tour. Would definitely recommend using this company.

There could not be a better guide for a Gallipoli tour than Sinan! His knowledge of the WW1 conflict was encyclopedic and he communicated it brilliantly - easy to understand but at the same time comprehensive. He continually asked if we had any more questions - and when we did, he had many more answers! He was also friendly and had a good sense of humour. Also, he and his boss, Ibrahim, got us out of a potentially difficult situation when we discovered we’d left our passports in our hotel room safe back in Istanbul. They got it sorted for us with a minimum of fuss - we would have been in real trouble without them. Seriously, if you’re planning a trip to Gallipoli, make sure you get Sinan as your guide - he is absolutely the best!

Sinan understood Australians’ interest in Gallipoli and gave us a thorough tour from the ANZAC perspective. I thoroughly suggest that you try and have Sinan as your guide.

Our tour of Gallipoli was amazing and by far one of the best tours we've ever done - mostly due to our awesome guide; Sinan Gokdemir. Sinan's knowledge of the area and its history was outstanding. Being Kiwis, he was very careful to point out areas of interest to us and tailored our tour to visiting the memorials dedicated to the ANZACs in particular. To hear the events of 1914 - 15 brought to life in the way Sinan did was humbling and it was very emotional to see the places and sites where the events occurred. It is well worth paying the extra cost for a guide, as otherwise it would be difficult to understand the significance of what you are looking at. Ensure you allow the full day, and more, as the drive from Istanbul to Gallipoli Peninsula is 5-6 hours each way, depending on traffic.

We did the 2-day Gallipoli, Troy, and Pergamon tour with Turkland Travel, and it was a fantastic way to see some of Turkey’s most important historical sites while traveling down the west coast. Thank you to our tour guide Baris for sharing his knowledge and passion with us and to our driver Murat for getting us safely to our destination. The logistics were well-handled: comfortable transport and timely pickups. Overall a great way to get from Istanbul to Kuşadası with our teenagers while learning a lot along the way.

We were lucky to have retired lecturer Kenan as our guide showing us around Gallipoli & Anzac Cove. His knowledge was exceptional, particularly the intricate details of the landing, going the extra mile to stop & show us additional sites along the way. Well worth the tour particularly if you have Kenan as your guide. 10/10

The most incredible experience . An exceptional way to learn about Turkey and the history from the most knowledgeable guides . Everything from the restaurants we visited to the rug co ops were completely authentic . Our family of 5 with 3 adult children loved it , and the guides and drivers had great humour and were so enjoyable to spend our time with . The organisation from beginning to end was unbelievable and nothing was ever to much trouble to change to our needs along the way , We will come back
