Rencontrez notre chauffeur parlant anglais à votre hôtel à bord d'une Mercedes-Benz confortable pour commencer votre voyage vers la belle ville de Cortone: ce bâtiment est entouré de murs de pierre datant de l'époque étrusque et romaine et se trouve au sommet d'une colline à environ 600 mètres au dessus du niveau de la mer. Cette position dominante sur la vallée offre une vue spectaculaire de toute la ville sur la vallée environnante et même le lac Trasimène. La ville est devenue très populaire au cours des dix dernières années grâce au livre de Frances Mayes, Under the Tuscan Sun (et au film avec Diane Lane), qui se déroule à Cortone. La protagoniste tombe immédiatement amoureuse de la ville, de ses habitants et de la villa Bramasole qu'elle achète et répare. Temps libre pour se détendre ou explorer les environs, le chauffeur vous suggérera les meilleures choses à faire.
Partez à 11h30 pour un délicieux déjeuner léger dans un vignoble familial. Continuez ensuite vers Montepulciano pour 30 minutes en voiture sur des collines entourées de paysages à couper le souffle ... bien sûr, votre chauffeur peut arrêter la voiture quand vous le souhaitez si vous souhaitez prendre des photos. Arrivée dans la charmante ville de Montepulciano vers 14h. C'est une ville de colline médiévale d'une rare beauté regorgeant d'élégants palais de la Renaissance, d'églises anciennes, de places charmantes et de coins cachés ... Montepulciano a suscité une grande attention après le tournage de la saga vampire Twilight, la suite de New Moon, et a connu une augmentation notable chez les visiteurs. Une promenade à travers Montepulciano est le meilleur moyen de voir la ville et ses beaux monuments ainsi que de profiter d'une vue imprenable sur la campagne environnante couverte de vignobles produisant le célèbre Nobile, que vous pourrez déguster dans les nombreux magasins de vin situés dans l'enceinte de la ville.

Our tour guide was Massimo and he was terrific in several ways, the first of which was his careful and relatively slow driving. This made the travel quite comfortable, especially for our family members who volunteered for the van’s third row. From our perspective, Cortona is the nicest Italian town we visited, and the other way Massimo excelled was by letting us stay much longer instead of traveling on to Montepulciano as the tour design called for. So as Massimo returned us to our Villa, my family agreed that we very much enjoyed the day!
