Traversez le célèbre Sydney Harbour Bridge, connu localement sous le nom de «Coast Hanger», en vous dirigeant vers le nord hors de la ville.

Nous arrivons à votre premier domaine viticole vers 10h30. Le personnel de la cave vous éblouira avec les subtilités de l'art de l'appréciation du vin. Vous apprendrez à regarder, sentir, siroter et identifier les saveurs et les différences étonnantes de chaque style de vin et de raisin. Tous les petits établissements vinicoles exclusifs que vous visitez cultivent leurs propres raisins et les vins que vous essayez sont produits sur place. La plupart des vins que vous dégusterez sont des médaillés et les vignerons sont naturellement fiers de montrer leurs produits.
Visitez votre deuxième magnifique vignoble et dégustez jusqu'à 10 vins différents. La Hunter Valley est réputée pour ses cépages Shiraz et Sémillon, vous serez donc sûr de goûter ces deux spécialités. Entre siroter et cracher, assurez-vous de garder un œil sur les vignes, pour l'étrange kangourou sauvage. Ils sont bien connus pour se détendre dans la chaleur de la journée au milieu des vignes.
Choisissez un café-déjeuner ou une expérience gastronomique à payer directement sur place. Savourez peut-être une bouteille de ce vin spécial que vous venez d'acheter directement à la porte de la cave à vin pendant que vous savourez votre repas. Promenez-vous dans le charmant village de Hunter Valley et dégustez les chocolats fabriqués localement à la Hunter Valley Chocolate Company.

Nice day in the Hunter Valley...tasted at 3 wineries..wines were quite good..scenery nice including many kangaroos.

Great day of tasting wines in Hunter valley. Excellent of tasting at three different wineries plus a artisanal cheese tasting and great lunch to top it off. Glen was an excellent guide, safe driver and provided us a great day. Even went out of his way to make we got some pictures of wild kangaroos as we had not seen any yet on our visit to Australia.

This was our first of two tours organised by Runaway Tours and was so easy to organise in the run up to us travelling en masse to Australia. Our large family group were superbly looked after by Runaway Tours and collected from our location in Sydney early in the morning before a two hour drive out to Hunter Valley. The guide, Glen was very knowledgable and welcoming and being an ex-pat from Essex, he led our group perfectly. We visited two different vineyards in the morning and had great taster sessions at both, before stocking up with bottles to help us celebrate our time in Australia. Following the second vineyard stop, Glen took us to a beautiful spa resort for our lunch which was of an exceptionally good standard. Following lunch we headed for a cheese tasting experience before visiting the third wine boutique. This was more of a wine stockist as opposed to a vineyard, but the quality of the wine was very good. As the afternoon drew to an end, the final stop on the tour was a chocolate shop where we had the chance to purchase some high quality confectionery. Following this visit we headed back into Sydney and was dropped off back at our lodgings at about 5:30 so it really was a full day of brilliant activities. Thank you Steve and Mandy for their exceptional organisation skills to put this tour on for us and as you can read on our Blue Mountain tour review, they really do know how show off these great locations in and around Sydney. When we return in the future, we will no doubt be heading to the Runaway Tours website to book more activities. Thank you for making our holiday in Sydney so memorable.

Steve was absolutely phenomenal. We booked last minute because our other service fell through. There were 7 of us and we all had a wonderful time. We booked online with Runaway Tours and wouldn't change a thing. We were picked up at the cruise terminal in Sydney by our guide Jen, spent the day with her touring the Hunter and were dropped at the airport on time for a late evening flight home. Jen was very knowledgeable, a safe driver and good fun.
