Point de rencontre Commencez votre visite privée à pied à Fort Kochi en visitant des filets de pêche chinois, qui ont été introduits par des commerçants de la cour de Kublai Khan au 14ème siècle. Les pêcheurs de Kochi utilisent encore ces filets de pêche pour gagner leur vie. Continuez votre promenade jusqu'à l'église Saint-François, la plus ancienne église européenne en Inde. L'église a été construite en 1503 par des frères portugais et est maintenant le lieu de sépulture de Vasco da Gama, un explorateur portugais qui a dirigé les premiers navires qui ont navigué directement d'Europe en Inde. L'église possède un grand cimetière qui servait autrefois de lieu de repos à Vasco da Gamma. Transfert à Mattancherry en Auto Rickshaw / Tuc Tuc / Bus local. Ensuite, visitez la basilique Santa Cruz, l'une des églises les plus grandes et les plus impressionnantes de l'Inde. L'église a deux flèches en flèche et un extérieur lumineux blanchi à la chaux. À l'intérieur, vous trouverez des murs décorés de fresques, de peintures murales et de grandes peintures représentant des scènes de la vie de Jésus-Christ. Visitez le palais Mattancherry, construit par les Portugais et présenté au Raja de Kochi en 1555. Le palais est célèbre pour ses superbes peintures murales représentant des scènes de contes hindous, tels que le Ramayana et le Mahabharata. À côté se trouve la synagogue Paradesi, la plus ancienne synagogue active du sud de l'Inde. Admirez la chaire en laiton ornée, le lustre en verre belge et les carreaux de sol en porcelaine chinoise peints à la main. Terminez le voyage en vous promenant dans la ville juive voisine, un endroit central pour le commerce des épices, et respirez l'arôme du gingembre, de la cardamome, du curcuma et des clous de girofle. Transfert plus tard à votre hôtel à Fort Kochi ou Mattancherry par un Auto Rickshaw / Tuc Tuc.

The walking tour with Saad was great. We only had a short time in Kochi and this was a great way to see the area. The whole process was great, from communicating via WhatsApp the night before, accomodating a different time slot and helping with our luggage. Immensely helpful and kind team and the actual tour itself is great. Saad tailored it to our interests, and such a vibe to the place. Could only wish we could stay longer and explore more. Will be back
Rajiv our guide was amazing! We had a great time learning about Fort Kochi and the rich history. He knew so much about architecture and flora and fauna. He joyously shared his city. He was even very patient and flexible when we needed a break from the heat and the tour! Take this tour! It was great! Bring water and hat and wear lots of sunscreen!

<p>The guide was very knowledgeable and the company accommodated us, starting an hour late. Being a person who like history, I enjoyed my time time with the guide. Some explanations at the palace museum were a bit lengthy, but we were able to hit the top things including the church before its closing time :. We had a small side talk about the difference between Juan Rodríguez Cabrillo and Pedro Álvares Cabral. The guide gave us a good local food recommendation at the end.</p>
