Very nice day in Budapest. The guide was friendly and informative, and the transfer from Vienna was comfortable. Recommended!
Had a great experience traveling between Budapest and Vienna. The driver was friendly, professional, and arrived right on time. The car was clean, comfortable, and made the trip very enjoyable. Communication was easy from start to finish, and everything went smoothly without any hassle. I would definitely recommend this service to anyone looking for a reliable and comfortable ride between Budapest and Vienna. Thanks for the excellent service!
Thank you for your wonderful feedback! We’re very happy to hear that you enjoyed a smooth and comfortable journey between Budapest and Vienna. It’s great to know everything from the driver’s service to the communication met your expectations. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you again in the future!
It’s rush as Budapest n Vienna to drive. is about 2.5 hrs one way. So total 5/5 hrs up and down It’s for those who want to have a feel of the place. Nk time to go into many monuments But. We are lucky to have nick. An elderly local as our local guide. He is so funny. N fantastic ! I think he like my group a lot as he extended his time with us free of charge. We gave him a nice tip of course. He is knowledgsble and v humorous Adam is our driver. A nice young man who drives very well. No hiccup. We also tip him for his 12 hours of time with us. If which he is very appreciative We went to the big market. Saw a few big monument from outside Budapest you need minimum 2 days to see more things. Better have 3 days. A land with rich history The only hiccup is I already told operator I changed hotel like 5 x he forgot to tell Adam the driver. So we wasted 30 mins of our time. Adam doesn’t seem to know much re the iTineary. But it’s all good and sorted out. Initially we wanted to stay longer in Budapest. The cost is euro 30 per hour. It’s supposed to start counting from 5 pm As it’s a 12 hrs tour so by right of we reach Vienna by 8 pm we need not top up. But Adam seem to be confused re the way the calculation is supposed to start counting from what hour initially. But after we explained to him. N he called the office It’s all sorted If you can get uncle nick as your guide. I will highly recommend. For those who want to have a feel of Budapest Adam is a great young gentlemen who drives well too Overall. We are happy. :)))
Thank you for your nice review. We always try to deliver our best. Regarding the hotel change, we are really sorry about that, but it was lost in the communication as we tried to answer so many questions before the tour. For future clients we would recommend to ask viator helpdesk to amend your booking, if you change your hotel so its clear in the booking and not lost in the communication. Enjoy your stay in Europe.
This trip is a great option if one wants to visit Budapest quickly from Vienna. It is a 2.5 hrs drive from Vienna each way, and Budapest has reasonable traffic, so there is enough time to see all the main landmarks that this great city has to offer. Renee was our driver and we were very happy with him. He speaks fluent English, he is an efficient but careful driver, and he knows a lot about the places we visited, which enabled us to pass on a guide which streamlined our visit (of course, a guide is included for whoever wants one). All in all, I would recommend this company and Renee for any private trip in Central Europe.
Amazing private tour! Husan was an excellent driver and very personable. Altered tour to accommodate our interest.Jorge our Budapest guide was just as awesome and knowledgeable! A great day in Budapest!
Excellent private tour of Budapest, Hungary from Vienna, Austria! The driver was a great driver and we always felt safe. The car was comfortable and clean. The driver first brought us to a big public market in Budapest, and then to a wonderful local restaurant for lunch. After lunch the driver picked up a Budapest local tour guide who was extremely knowledgeable and was able to explain the history all of the sites we visited. She was very well prepared, and a pleasure to listen to. My wife and I both had an absolutely wonderful day with great memories and tons of pictures!
Tour guide was grossly unqualified. ... continually apologizing for her lack of experience and limited knowledge. She only spoke when asked a question and then only short answers with no additional interesting commentary ... probably could have acquired same info simply by looking up questions on google. At several stops, her only comment was "This is the ....." No commentary about why it was important or its historical significance. We openly encouraged her to be more active and informative ... her response "Sorry, I am not very experienced." The driver was a little better, however, his English was limited. Finally, the car was a subcompact which was not comfortable on the long commute from Vienna, especially on bumpy roads. I was traveling with a friend who visited Budapest for a few days in the past. My friend basically became my tour guide, communicating a lot more pertinent information that she recalled from her past visit than the tour guide.
We are very sorry to hear about this and especially so late after your tour/more then a month/ we have already sorted out the problem with this guide-Hajni and she will not work for us anymore/ regarding the car and the driver, we are quite surprised as we believe you had bad experience with the guide so it also affected your journey/ but its all motorway from Vienna to Budapest/ no bumpy road and the car was Mercedes Eclass - for 3pax its usually good, but for more space we always reccomend hiring a minivan.
The driver and the tour guide was great , but the car provided was too small , it was a BMW X1 model , at the beginning on the way to Budapest was fine for three of us , but when we got there , the tour guide had to get in and all three of us was crammed at back seats 、 lucky we r not overweight people , just imagine!!!! And we pay over $700 euro for that !!! It was not worth it ,And also the website said the tour will be about 12 hours but it ended in less than 10 hrs
Dear Angie, we are very sorry for this review, but it was a busy day and your booking was on last minute, so we asked you whether it would be ok to provide BMW X1 instead of a sedan/Mercedes/ instead of a cancelation and you agreed with that, also regarding the tour time, the departure from Budapest is usually set for 5.00pm which gives you enough free time after the tour, but you decided to go back to Vienna earlier. So we really feel unfair to receive only 2stars.
Driver Marko messaged in the morning that he will be late. And when he arrived, there was a need to stop at a petrol station to clean windows. Didn’t say that with all the delay it was going to affect our your timing in Budapest. We were just 3 people and paid extra to have better comfort of a van, but the van was such an uncomfortable one. It was not up to standard for the price paid. On our way, we asked the driver about Budapest and some point of interest and he said he didn’t know - he was merely a driver. When we arrived we commenced with a super brief tour with a tour guide and we didn’t stop at all those beautiful buildings you see in the photos. Tour with a guide was just for 2.5 hours. As soon as we finished the driver dropped us at a parking lot and told us we were free to walk around for 2 hours and then it will be time to return. No guide for this free and easy. He told us to meet him at the parking lot at 4.30 but he was not there and had to be called to come. Overall our tour commenced at 12 noon and returned at 4.30pm. And we had to bear roaming calls for calling the driver when he was not at the parking lot and for his messages to us when he was late. I do not recommend this tour company. It is a dodgy company and not worth it. I recommend for anyone to take the train, explore on your own and stay the night.
Dear Datin, let us answer to your unfair review which seems very like the review from our competitor. - Marco is one of our most experienced and most popular drivers who does many tours with us and you can see also his reviews, he messaged you 20mins in advance, that he will be 15mins late as there was a traffic accident in Vienna, he arrived at 8.12 and had to wait for you another 10mins as you went to buy breakfast. - from the very start you were complaining about something and also about windows, so he stopped on the first petrol station and cleaned them for you - in Budapest you had the time as every other client 3hrs with a guide and 3hrs of free time, which we believe is enough for a city tour - regarding the car you had a Mercedes Vclass which we believe is one of the most expensive and popular in this class - we are sorry that you did not like this tour, but its very unfair to give such wrong information especially when clients can see the other reviews and its completely different - we hope that you at least had a good time in Budapest and will decide to come back - we have also flagged your review as we believe the information provided is not true
Our drive kept in contact about his arrival and did an amazing job getting us to our destination. I would recommend eating before departing and taking snacks. We went straight from Vienna to sight seeing in Budapest with only a bathroom break. We did get free time around 2:30pm and ate a late lunch before leaving Budapest for Vienna around 5pm. Our tour guide was very passionate about the city and had a lot of information. We did stop in three locations for pictures but you can’t see it all in one day.
