The 2-day trip was really great and we saw and learned a lot. The evening before, there was a briefing on how everything works. In the process, we noticed that the description doesn't quite match reality. Ultimately, we visited more spots than described. First, we went to a dye works and weaving mill where all the Inca items are made and sold. It was a bit like a bus tour sales trip. Then to the archaeological site of Chinchero, then to Moray (Inca lab), then to the salt mines of Maras (with sales), then to Ollantaytambo, and then in the evening by train to Aguas Calientes to spend the night. A lot of program on the first day. On the second day, then by bus up to Machu Picchu and, depending on the circuit (1, 2, 3), a guided tour with a very competent guide. We had circuit 1, it gives the best overview. You can also book the Sun Gate. Just walk there. It was nice, but also exhausting. There are a few hours of downtime in between that you have to organize yourself. I don't quite understand why everything always starts so early, since there is several hours of downtime in the afternoon until you can get to the train or bus. You receive all tickets via WhatsApp, including all communication. The tour doesn't work without a cell phone and network, and you have to stay in constant contact with IncaTrail. Works great

Our Machu Picchu guide, John, was knowledgeable, professional, and kind. He shared fascinating information throughout the tour while keeping the experience relaxed and enjoyable. He was also a very good photographer. We never felt rushed and appreciated how well he tailored the tour to our pace. The hotel in Aguas Calientes was also excellent—comfortable, well located, and felt luxurious after a day of exploring. It was the perfect place to relax before and after visiting Machu Picchu. Overall, everything was exceptionally well organized from start to finish. We highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a smooth, relaxing, and memorable Machu Picchu experience as well as other for other tours. I wish the vans had air conditioning on the way to ollantaytambo and back. It was like a sauna in there and very uncomfortable

Our family of five (two adults and three kids, ages 7, 10, and 12) had an unforgettable experience exploring Cusco and Machu Picchu with our tour guide, John.
