I visited Sri Lanka with a friend of mine. It was a wonderful trip, thanks to this incredible land and thanks to Anusha, our tour-guide and driver, that was very kind and professional. We saw many tipical place in Sri Lanka and he explain to us local culture and traditions. We love this travel and we hope to return in a future!

We are back from a wonderful trip to Sri Lanka. Vio Holiday helped us organize 15 days around the island, we were able to visit all the most important, beautiful places we wanted to see. It was a journey full of experiences. Our guide, Neminda, made everything very easy, ready for all our requests, he guaranteed us to discover the culture of the country and showed us all the beauties of the land. He was nice, cheerful and gave us all the sweetness and kindness of the Sinhalese people. A great travel companion and guide. Thanks to Vio Holidays we spent 15 wonderful days in Sri Lanka. With their collaboration we spent unforgettable days immersed in incredible nature, meeting special, welcoming and smiling people, we visited archaeological sites, Buddhist temples, tea plantations, we immersed ourselves in the ocean waters, we relaxed on golden beaches, we savored juicy fruit and spicy dishes. Our driver Kasun supported us constantly, advised us when we had doubts, helped us when we made some changes to our program. I’ve just come back from a two week trip to Sri Lanka and I worked with Vio Holidays to arrange a driver and plan activités and excursions during my time in the country. I researched via blogs and lonely planet the main itinerary and route I wanted to move through Sri Lanka and organised my own accommodation by choice. As someone who’s usually very independent and self sufficient on holidays I wasn’t sure about the idea of feeling “locked in” to a driver and an itinerary for two weeks. However, I can confidently say that Nimesha and the team really do collaborate with you to build an itinerary that you’re comfortable with and matches your expectations and enjoyment of what you want to get out of your trip. Nimesha gave great attention to detail and answering all my questions and concerns to plan the right trip for me. Dilshan, my driver during Sri Lanka. Dilshan was amazing and really enhanced my trip during Sri Lanka. It felt like a real partnership and constantly checking in and adapting each day whether that was the pick up times, the order of things for finding a cafe to take a break from the heat. He was really positive the whole time and gave great energy to my experience. Working with a driver meant I could just be present the whole time and see and feel everything I was coming into contact with. I didn’t have to spend all that extra time doing admin, planning logistics, organising things. I could just wake up each day and have a great time. I highly recommend Dilshan if you’re lucky to get him on your trip. A reminder that your money goes towards a salary for the office team, the driver, fuel costs, your excursions, insurances, driver food and accommodation. In order for your trip to run smooth as mine did I think it’s important as tourists we think holistically and fairly about how the money we spend need to feed into this eco system. Overall I’m really happy with the company, they work with you and have your interests at heart. They want to make sure you have a great time and check in with your regularly before and during your trip. General tips for travellers visiting Sri Lanka. 1) Buy or bring a thin cloth to wrap around your legs and or shoulders when visiting temples so you can easily follow the cultural rules but also be comfortable in clothing outside of temples in the hot weather. 2) Get a sim card at the airport so you’ve got good data the whole time. 3) Buy gifts from state run souvenir shops, a great one is at the Kandy botanical gardens, prices are 60% cheaper than other places. Also shopping in Galle is great. 4) Spice gardens (there’s many) are quite sales heavy environments, whilst learning about herbs and organic materials grown in Sri Lanka and used in cosmetic, cooking and skin products they do hard sell these products at high prices. Even stand firm on saying no or negotiate well.

This 14 days trip has been great experience of Sri Lanka. We had amazing guide Asanka and I would like to thanks to him again by this way. He and Tharika were totally helpful during whole stay. We changed our location every second day which gave us oportunity to explore many interesting places and events. We've got our personal guide and driver Asanka and he helped with everything (hotels, etc.) to make it comfortable for us. We enjoyed this vacation and saw a lot. Thanks and from my side I can recommend them:)
