While we were waiting for our tour guide we asked another coach driver if we were in the right place for this tour he directed us and also informed us we would have a great day well sadly this didn’t happen. We felt this tour was very rushed due to the guide informing us our tour would finish early at approx 3pm and not 4.30pm due to a road closure to the port, this information was given to us part way through the day after lunch. Parts of the tour were amazing but being rushed through the botanical garden and other places was very disappointing. We also feel the guide needs some pointers on etiquette in the company of guests as her frequent use of the F word and C word profanities used were extremely off putting and disgusting. Would we book this tour again ? yes with a different tour guide and full tour time.
apologies that the day did not pan out as you expected Patricia. Yes, there was a festival in Wellington on that day that impacted some roads and led to the earlier finish time. I have no explanation for the use of profanities and have taken this up with the Guide to ensure this is never repeated. Once again I can only apologise that your tour was not up to our normal standards on this occasion regards John
I had such an enjoyable experience on the private tour of Wellington. Our guide was thoughtful, friendly, and incredibly helpful throughout the day. Steve took the time to check in with us, asking what we wanted to know and tailoring the tour to our interests. Not only did they share great advice on places to visit and things to watch out for, but they also kept the conversation engaging and insightful. We explored a variety of attractions around Wellington e.g. the Weta Cave, Beehive Parliament, with fascinating stories and history that brought the city to life. There's also good lunch near wellywood. To top it off, our guide helped us capture some wonderful photos around the city, making the memories even more special. Overall, it was a fantastic way to experience Wellington, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a personalised and memorable tour to top attractions in Wellington.
thanks for that glowing review Joy - I'll pass on your feedback to Steve cheers John
I had a quick trip to Wellington so this city day tour was perfect to see all around Wellington. The tour guide was very informative and catered the private tour to accommodate.
Glad to see you enjoyed your time in Wellington with Captours cheers John
I know you can't see a city in one day but Andrew did a wonderful job of taking my husband and I around Auckland. We started by driving along the harbor and up to the highest point in Auckland with a 360 view of the city. We drove along the beach, saw the Wellington city sign, the Weta studios, had a very good lunch at the Chocolate Fish Cafe, saw the NZ War Museum, downtown, rode the cable car, etc. Andrew was very friendly, and knowledgeable and we enjoyed the day we spent with him! I would definitely recommend Andrew and this tour! You won't regret it!
thanks for that great review of your day in Wellington. I'll pass on your feedback to Andrew cheers John
Liz was a fun, low key tour guide. It was us with 2 other couple’s in her Mercedes Van. We were stress free as she navigated the highlights of Wellington! The Chocolate Fish Cafe was delicious!
Hi Fred - great to see you had a great day with Liz and I'll pass that feedback on to her cheers John
Steve our guide was superb. We hit it off with him from the moment we met because of his extremely likeable nature. Although he had a plan of Wellington highlights, we discussed what best worked for us and he adapted his schedule to suit. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Wellington being an ex-teacher and we discussed a whole range of topics throughout the day. Although we had never met before, it was comparable to having a day in the company of an old friend. We only had a day to appreciate the sights and sounds of Wellington and Steve made sure that we did just that.
that's great to hear Stephen and happy you got to personalise your tour to give you a fun day in Wellington. I'll pass on that feedback to Steve cheers John
Thanks to our guidedriver we had a great time in Wellington and enjoyed a beautiful city and landscape. We only regretted that time passed by very quickly.
you must have had a fun day out then. Glad to hear that thanks John
Our tour guide had taught as what there is to know about the city and points of interest. It was an enjoyable experience
glad to hear that Teri cheers John
We had a wonderful guide, Selwyn, who was very knowledgeable and very adaptable to our requests. We visited many prominent landmarks - Parliament House, the Mt Victoria Lookout, the Cable Car, The Basin Reserve, to name a few - and had a delicious lunch on the waterfront. It was an entertaining day from start to finish. I highly recommend it. Thanks, Selwyn!
thanks Greg and I'll pass that great feedback onto Selwyn cheers John
We booked this trip just two days in advance, and Andrew was able to make our private trip a reality. Andrew was fantastic, prompt, kind, informative, and accommodating. It was a very overcast and windy day, that because of Andrew, was made fun. We learned a lot about Wellington, which was our hope for the day! Thank you Andrew for a lovely day!
thanks Eileen and great that Andrew was able to give you an informative and memorable day in our cool little Capital city cheers John
