Construit au sommet d'une falaise, la chapelle de Sra. Da Rocha vous permet d'admirer la magnifique côte et les formations rocheuses. En direction de l'ouest, vous serez présenté au village de Ferragudo, un village de pêcheurs traditionnel qui surplombe l'estuaire de Portimão. Après avoir traversé la rivière Arade à travers le vieux pont, vous aurez l'occasion de contempler du haut du point de vue du fort de Santa Catarina, la rivière, l'embouchure de la rivière et la longue Praia da Rocha. En arrivant dans la charmante ville de Lagos, une excursion facultative d'une heure en bateau vous étonnera car elle emmène nos touristes dans les grottes et les formations rocheuses de Ponta da Piedade. Une expérience incontournable. Le centre historique conserve son caractère distinctif, avec des rues pavées, des restaurants authentiques et une atmosphère détendue et accueillante. Un circuit fascinant et inoubliable le long de la côte. Une expérience incroyable à retenir.

Itinéraire
Sur le magnifique promontoire de Senhora da Rocha, il y a la chapelle de Senhora da Rocha. Selon des sources historiques, la chapelle était entourée d'une ancienne forteresse (XVe siècle), qui dominait toute la côte entre Faro et Lagos, et protégeait les populations et la côte mais la forteresse fut détruite lors du tremblement de terre de 1755.
Promenez-vous dans les rues pavées de ce village pittoresque. Vous aurez l'occasion de monter sur la colline jusqu'au point de vue de l'église principale de Notre-Dame de la Conception (vue magnifique pour les photos de la ville de Portimão et de la rivière Arade). Descente vers la plage d'Angrinha par Praia Grande
En continuant jusqu'à Praia da Rocha, nous visiterons le fort de Santa Catarina pour admirer la rivière Arade, son embouchure et la célèbre plage de Praia da Rocha. Excellent moment pour «s'arrêter» et prendre un verre avant de se rendre à Lagos.
Promenade en bateau à travers les incroyables grottes et les formations rocheuses à couper le souffle de Ponta da Piedade. Une expérience incontournable. Durée: 1h 15m (FACULTATIF) - Supplément - Adultes: 20 € / Enfants Visite du marché municipal de Lagos et de son point de vue pour admirer la marina et la Meia Praia. Un endroit très relaxant pour prendre un verre et prendre des photos. Temps libre pour promenade et déjeuner. Après le déjeuner, point de rencontre: Statue de D. Sebastião sur la Praça Gil Eanes Visite guidée à pied, à travers le centre de Lagos, en passant par le marché aux esclaves (premier marché aux esclaves en Europe), et l'église de Santo António (XVIIIe siècle - une seule pièce d'architecture). Apprenez à connaître l'arc de Saint Gonçalo (une porte historique de la vieille ville de Lagos) et la statue du même saint, où vous pourrez profiter d'un cadre idéal pour prendre des photos (Meia Praia, Praia da Batata; et le petit fort de Ponta da Bandeira). Brève visite à Praia do Pinhão et Ponta da Piedade (où vous pourrez admirer le phare et les falaises avec des plages cachées).

We spent a lovely day with Johnny and saw the lovely sights that the Algarve coast had to offer. As soon as Johnny picked us up he said that the day was "about us" and that he would tailor the day around us. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and the history of the region and gave the impression that he is passionate about the subject and proud of his country. We very much enjoyed walking around Lagos with Johnny and will definitely go back and spend more time there in the future and would also like to explore the caves in that part of the coast and Johnny has offered to help us book that in the future. All in all we had a lovely day and feel that we have found a new friend.

Johnny was the best private tour guide we had during our 2-week Portugal adventure. My friends and I booked this tour in advance of our visit to Algarve (there were six of us). Johnny arrived to pick us up at our hotel and we immediately knew it would be a fun day! He is warm, welcoming, and super knowledgeable. He customized the itinerary to make sure we didn’t overlap with anything else. We were going to see other days. He even booked us to see the Benagil caves as part of our day, which helped we had planned on doing on a separate day which helped consolidate our activities and allow more free time. He took us to so many breathtaking places and was so wonderful. I can’t recommend him enough. He also made recommendations for us as we continued our trip in Spain, which we took advantage of and were fabulous. you will not regret touring with Johnny!

Johnny gave us an excellent tour. We saw a stork farm (that's what we called it), quite a bit of fascinating coastline, and coastal boardwalks that gave great views. Johnny never rushed us and answered all of our questions. He has a great depth of Knowledge about the local environment, including problems with algae incursions, and local (Algarve) history.
We so very much appreciated Johnny's texts to us preceding our day tour. He carefully arranged a boat tour to Beagil caves - perfect time of day and operated by a courteous and informative crew that took us along the beautiful coastline and into spectular caves. Johnny's tour included a stop to see handpainted tile work - so pretty! and lunch overlooking a beautiful beach. We stopped at several amazing overlooks. Thank you, Johnny, for a wonderful day!
