Vous explorerez l'abbaye de Montserrat, vous aurez la chance de vénérer "La Moreneta" la Madone noire, vous aurez le temps de faire une randonnée facile pour admirer les vues imprenables depuis la croix de Saint Michel ou pour prendre le funiculaire qui vous mène au sommet de la montagne. Si vous préférez vous concentrer sur l'art, vous pouvez visiter le Musée d'Art. Le point culminant de votre visite sera la performance du chœur de garçons** avant la pause déjeuner. ** réserver 1 mois ou plus tôt maximisera les chances d'avoir de la disponibilité pour la représentation. 1 heure de train pour Montserrat. Monter dans la montagne en téléphérique et retour en train ferroviaire à crémaillère. Si vous prenez l'option van/bus, vous monterez toujours en téléphérique, sauf si vous préférez ne pas le faire.

Après un voyage d'une heure depuis Barcelone, vous arriverez au pied de la montagne où vous monterez dans la cabine du téléphérique qui vous fera gagner plus de 500 mètres de dénivelé en seulement 5 minutes.
Vous apprendrez l'histoire de Montserrat, la montagne, le monastère et vous aurez la chance de voir la chorale des garçons (selon disponibilité). Il y aura du temps pour une pause-café, une randonnée facile ou un voyage au sommet en funiculaire pour admirer la vue depuis le sommet ou visiter le musée d'art. Après avoir vu la chorale des garçons, l'heure du déjeuner. Montserrat offre plusieurs options, du snack au buffet à volonté en passant par un restaurant gastronomique. L'après-midi, pour le retour, vous emprunterez le train à crémaillère qui fait la correspondance avec le train qui va à Barcelone en 1h30.

I highly recommend this tour! We spent the day with David and despite heavy rain at times, he navigated the sights to ensure we experienced everything. He has a great demeanor and great sense of humor. I have leaned towards private tours while considering the expense as it allows focused time with a guide which can be so gratifying. David definitely far exceeded expectations. He has such extensive knowledge of Spanish and Catalan culture and history. He brought us to a local beautiful restaurant that was spectacular, where he shared his knowledge of local cuisine. We loved spending timing exploring Montserrat and the beautiful countryside. I really wanted the whole Montserrat experience and this tour was the only one that offered it—and I loved every bit of it! David was the perfect tour guide! He is knowledgeable and experienced and showed me a great time, and also shared some history about Montserrat and the surrounding country which I enjoyed. My Montserrat tour included everything I wanted: pick-up at my hotel, taking the train up and back, buying all the tickets, coordinating all the times, keeping us on schedule, taking the gondola up the mountain, seeing the cathedral, hearing the boys’ choir in the church, seeing the Black Madonna, touring the plaza and farmers’ market, some time for the gift shops and taking the cog railway back down the mountain. I couldn’t have asked for a better tour or guide and had a great time!
Montserrat is a stunningly beautiful mountain range in Catalonia that houses monks of the Benedictine abbey. Along with gorgeous views outside, the museum and Basilica are awe inspiring. Don’t miss it!

David was the perfect guide for Montserrat and his knowledge of the tour was incredible. He knew so many facts and information that only a guide with an interest in sharing knowledge would know. Despite the rain at times , he altered activities to accommodate the weather but we still were able to see everything we wanted and hike back from the cross on the hill. His tips for us did not end when the day ended. We had also hired him for the next day. He gave us restaurant and wine suggestions too!
