conduire à Ephèse (45 minutes en voiture) Tout d'abord, visitez le temple d'Artémis où est l'une des sept merveilles du monde antique. Continuez jusqu'à Éphèse, promenez-vous dans l'histoire le long de rues en marbre bordées de magnifiques bâtiments publics, parmi lesquels l'Agora d'État, Odéon, le monument Memnius, le temple de Domitien, la fontaine Polio, la rue Curetes, la fontaine Trajan, les bains de Scholastica, le temple d'Hadrien , Latrina, Celcus Library, la porte de Mihridates et Mazues, Commercial Agora et The Grand Theatre sont deux des bâtiments les plus impressionnants d'Ephèse. Le grand théâtre a été construit au 3ème siècle avant JC et il a ensuite été étendu à 24.000 spectateurs par les Romains au 1er siècle après JC. Après Ephèse, le déjeuner sera servi dans le jardin d'un centre d'artisanat local. Ici vous pouvez voir certaines des techniques traditionnelles de tissage de tapis utilisées et profiter de la visualisation de splendides étalages de beaux tapis.
Après le déjeuner, visite de la Maison de la Vierge Marie. Cette maison est située sur les montagnes Aladag à 8 km d'Ephèse. Au troisième Concile œcuménique de 431 à Éphèse, il a été affirmé que Marie est venue à Éphèse avec Saint-Jean en 37 après JC et y a vécu jusqu'à sa mort en 48 après JC. Après la découverte de la maison, l'archevêque d'Izmir l'a déclarée lieu de pèlerinage en 1892. Le 26 juillet 1967, le pape Paul VI a visité ce lieu et a prié ici.

Since the hiring, everything has been great. Aylin gave me all the support, regarding the tour, sending all the directions and air tickets. We were picked up at the hotel with private transfer, to the airport of Istanbul from the Asian side. Then, arriving in Izmir, our guide Alex was waiting for us with a sign with my name at the landing. He spoke fluent English, which was very good, because Turkish is quite different for us Brazilians. Our private driver too, was excellent. We went, first to Maria's house, it was indescribable. We passed through historic sites such as the castle, the church of St. John, we went to Ephesus, to meet the Greek Roman city, in particular, the library of Adriano, we passed by a leather shop, which I recommend for quality, lunch at a place where I could know the work of the rugs and then, we were left at the airport and we returned to Istanbul. Thank you to the whole team!! I loved and have already indicated to friends in Brazil I wrote in Portuguese so other Brazilians can book and go, because this tour is inevitable when going to Turkey!

While in Istanbul on vacation, we decided to take a day trip to Ephesus. Curio Travel was amazing. Within an hour of contacting them, Aylin was on it, confirming airline books, tour guides, and shuttle services. With just two days notice, our itinerary was fixed and confirmed. Mind you this was on a Monday afternoon, with our intent to make the day trip on Thursday. The trip was amazing. The history, the sights, and the insight that was given by our private guide, Dudo, was fantastic. We are already planning our return trip to see more of Turkey, and Curio WILL be the agency that we use for our planning and booking.

My friend and I truly enjoyed our time in Ephesus with our guide, Sinan. Sinan was attentive, helpful, well-informed, and friendly. He was ready to adapt the tour to our needs. My friend and I learned much more than expected. Transportation was very comfortable and easy from the airport and throughout the day. We had time to explore the fascinating Roman ruins and learn from our knowledgeable guide. I hope to return to visit the archeological museum in the future.

This tour was a great experience compared to your typical tours in the big cities such as Istanbul. Our tour guide, Cuynet, was extremely knowledgeable and explained various aspects of the places we visited, including a detailed history dating back to Roman times. We had a great lunch which was included with the tour and our tour van was very comfortable. I would book again in a heartbeat!!

The tour started with our wonderful guide Pinar greeting us with a very warm smile at the Izmir Airport. We really enjoyed the itinerary for the day and Pinar was extremely knowledgeable in explaining in great detail the history and its relevance to Ephesus. The door to door hotel pick up and drop offs were also very convenient.

From hotel pickup, to the transfer to IST airport and flight bookings, collection at Izmir airport, tour of Ephesus, mother Mary‘s house, St John‘s Basilica and of course the included lunch couldn’t have been planned, presented and executed better. Curio Travel kept me posted of bookings and online check-in and all necessary trip info. Perfect!!! Good job!!! Our local guide for the day was Fatma Devrim Çobanoglu. She spoke english very well and she provided so much information. The history of the area‘s we visited is so old and fascinating. Devrim really contributed to us having an incredible experience. It was also very hot during the day and Devrim continuously checked that we were okay and comfortable. The history lessons were superb and very valued and appreciated.
