Itinéraire
Le trajet jusqu'à la grande baie de Fazayah, à environ 80 km à l'ouest de Salalah, est déjà amusant, car le parcours passe devant la plage de Mughsail jusqu'aux courbes en épingle à cheveux sur les flancs de Wadi Afawl et sur les hauteurs de Jebel Qamar. Là-haut, on a un peu l'impression d'être au guet dans le mât d'un voilier: brise marine et vue dégagée sur l'horizon, sauf qu'il y a aussi les falaises rocheuses abruptes avec leurs formations bizarres. Un chemin raide mais bon mène à plusieurs petites et grandes plages de sable. C'est maintenant le moment idéal pour enfiler vos vêtements de bain et plonger dans les vagues de l'océan Indien.
En descendant des montagnes, vous vous dirigerez vers l'ouest vers la célèbre Mughsail. Le premier arrêt est la magnifique plage de sable, parsemée de belvédères et de palmiers pour ceux qui veulent se reposer à l'ombre en écoutant les vagues. Les montagnes viennent très près de l'océan à ce stade et offrent des vues magnifiques.
Un autre spectacle à Mughsail sont les évents, où l'eau de la mer se fraye un chemin à travers le rocher, atteignant 28 m de haut en haute saison. La marée haute pendant Khareef apporte les meilleurs sites, mais le phénomène peut être observé à marée haute tout au long de l'année. Entre la plage et les évents vous passerez devant le lagon, paradis des oiseaux migrateurs entre l'Afrique et l'Europe ou l'Asie.
Le dernier arrêt à l'ouest sera Masood Beach, une belle plage de sable blanc, si bien nichée dans les montagnes, certains l'appellent la «plage cachée». La combinaison étroite de montagnes abruptes avec le sable et l'eau est un spectacle magnifique à apprécier. Le voyage de retour à Salalah comprendra une vue sur les célèbres arbres à encens et à de nombreux moments du voyage, vous aurez peut-être la chance de voir des chameaux ou d'autres animaux du Dhofar.

I had the pleasure of going on this trip alone with Abdulaziz as my tour guide and has now become a friend of mine. He was patient, knowledgeable, accommodating and has a good sense of humor. We went to Mughsail Beach, Marnif Cave, Hidden Beach, Blow Holes and Fazayah Beach. The highlight was Fazzayah Beach. I enjoyed the drive down the mountains and the water is absolutely amazing. The views are breathtaking. Abdulaziz gave me time to dip my feet in the water and sat patiently waiting for me allowing me to indulge to the maximum. I recommend this tour to anyone visiting Salalah and especially ask for Abdulaziz to be your tour guide 😊 My only concern was the poor bathroom facilities in Salalah but this was no fault of the tour company. However Abdulaziz always tried his best to find alternative ways for me to use the restroom. Thanks again for an amazing tour and look forwarding to visiting Salalah again in the near future.

I highly recommend this tour! I spent a great afternoon in breathtaking settings. Small tip for the beach: get ready for the beautiful waves and take a board! The guide I had already done the eastern part of Salalah with was really great: accommodating, friendly and really keen to share his culture.

We could see the beautiful seaside in Salalah. My guide Abdul took us the several places in half day. His time management skill is professional. He knows well what time we should go to each place.
