Firstly, our tour started 45 min late. The driver/guide didn't show up and I had to track him down. Finally, we got going and saw everything promised on the site but our driver was no guide. He barely spoke English and could not answer most of my questions. Since we got started so late, we ended up having to really rush through everything! Especially the Grand Mosque since it closed at 6pm. My biggest frustration was, he took us to a place he called the Capital Gate but it was just some place that he knew of (must've been his friends) to sell us stuff like rugs and shawls. I was really annoyed since we hardly had time to finish our tour as it was so we were just wasting time. And I hate it when tour guides try to get us to buy stuff that I didn't even ask about! The Louvre, the Mandarin Oriental, and the Qasr Al Watan were all amazing sites and definitely worth the visit. Our guide was most helpful once we got to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque because we barely had an hour before closing and it was crazy mayhem once we got there to figure out where to go. Without him and his familiarity of the Mosque, I would not have known where to go. Also, I was pretty sure that the tour company said they would provide any clothing if required by the Mosque for modesty reasons but again, the guide tried to get me to buy something. I refused. I had my own scarf and wore my husband's shirt over my own and I was allowed in. BTW - I had on a long-sleeved oversized shirt on with a scarf covering my head but it was my pants that was the issue (I think). Perhaps they were too snug (long running leggings). If you (a woman) go to the Mosque, wear something loose fitting, long and not sheer, and cover your head. Our driver/guide did make a extra stop that my husband requested that was not on the itinerary so we tipped him. He was a nice guy and not sure if the delay was his fault or the tour company's. Overall, the tour is packed with "must-do" things in Abu Dhabi but it is a lot to pack into, one day. And NOT great when the tour guide is nearly an hour late and don't know anything about what you are seeing or visiting. I had to do my own research. I would do this tour but not necessarily with this tour company.
The driver Mukimov was very flexible about the pickup time and the places we would like to visit. He came to pick us at a much earlier time so we could visit Mosque at the opening time.
We've booked tours in many places and have something to compare with. This tour went very well and I want to express my gratitude to the guide. He picked us up on time, then drove quickly. We saw the beautiful sights. We didn't stand in line, we walked quickly everywhere. I really liked the mosque and the residence. The tour took us about 8-9 hours, and we planned the itinerary with the guide right on the way.
Sultan did everything possible to make our tour informative, interesting, and engaging, as well as very comfortable! Special thanks for the restaurant recommendation))) We were very pleased with this tour in Abu Dhabi and fell in love with this city even more))
Thank you so much for the tour! We gained a lot of positive emotions and are filled with vivid impressions. Our guide, Umar, helped organize the tour according to our preferences, making it incredibly comfortable for us. He shared a lot of interesting information, answered all our questions, and we were even sad to say goodbye.
We agreed on the trip the day before and adjusted the route according to our wishes and visited everything we wanted. Thanks to the guide Umar for an interesting story and approach to work. I have the most positive impressions!
Thanks to the Sultan for the wonderful tour! I went with a friend, it was my first time in Abu Dhabi. We managed to see everything we planned, learned a lot about the country and its residents in the UAE. I liked that thanks to proper time planning, we managed to see the mosque at sunset and when it was already dark – it was very impressive! Sultan drives comfortably and tells interesting stories, the whole day flew by very quickly! We still remember it fondly :)
A wonderful guide, Umar, very polite and considerate, knowledgeable and a good driver. He even helped with our one-year-old child. We really enjoyed it and will definitely go on another excursion with him.
Our guide was Sultan. He is an excellent storyteller. We saw everything that was planned. Despite traveling all day, the trip turned out to be easy and very interesting. Thank you!
