Notre visite privée d'une journée dans le confort de nos véhicules de luxe vous emmène aux monuments les plus importants d'Athènes. Votre chauffeur viendra vous chercher et vous conduira à votre premier arrêt, Lycabettus Hill, offrant une vue spectaculaire sur Athènes. Votre prochain arrêt est la colline de l'Acropole pour admirer de près les célèbres temples du Parthénon, des Propylées, d'Erechteion, d'Athéna Nike et de l'Odéon d'Hérode Atticus. Le site suivant est la colline d'Areios Pagos, et c'est la colline où l'apôtre Paul a prêché la parole du Christ pour la première fois en Grèce. Votre chauffeur vous conduira au temple de Zeus et à l'arc d'Adrien, au stade panathénaïque, au parlement grec et à la relève de la garde et à la trilogie d'Athènes avec les impressionnantes colonnes doriques. Nous ferons un arrêt pour votre pause déjeuner avant de visiter l'ancienne Agora et le musée de l'Acropole. S'il reste suffisamment de temps, nous pouvons vous emmener visiter et faire du shopping dans les petites ruelles de Plaka, la vieille ville d'Athènes et enfin vous déposer à l'endroit souhaité.

Vous avez la chance d'admirer le magnifique panorama de la ville depuis la colline Lycabetus à 277 m. Lycabette se dresse au-dessus d'Athènes et offre une vue dégagée sur le bassin de l'Attique et la mer Égée.
L’UNESCO l’appelle le symbole du patrimoine mondial. C’est le symbole de la démocratie et de la civilisation grecque. C'est le site de quatre des plus grands chefs-d'œuvre de l'art grec classique - le Parthénon (ancien temple de l'Acropole athénienne, Grèce, dédié à la déesse Athéna), les Propylées (la porte monumentale de l'Acropole), l'Erechthéum (est une ancienne Temple grec sur le côté nord de l'Acropole d'Athènes qui était dédié à la fois à Athéna et Poséidon) et au temple d'Athéna Nike.
Mars ou Areopagus Hill: à la sortie de la colline sacrée de l'Acropole, vous montez le rocher escarpé Areios Pagos (il y a des escaliers) tout comme l'apôtre Paul l'a fait et a prêché la parole du Christ pour la première fois en Grèce. Du haut du rocher, vous pouvez voir l'Acropole et une vue panoramique sur Athènes.
En poursuivant notre visite d'Athènes, vous admirerez le gigantesque temple de Zeus olympien et l'arc d'Adrian. Le temple a été conçu pour être le plus grand temple de l'Antiquité.
Le stade Panathenaic ou Kallimarmaro est le seul stade au monde entièrement construit en marbre. Le stade a accueilli les premiers Jeux Olympiques modernes en 1896 et est aujourd'hui utilisé comme point final du marathon authentique d'Athènes.
Vous verrez l'impressionnant changement de quart des gardes habillés de façon traditionnelle (evzones) devant le parlement grec et la tombe en marbre du soldat inconnu.
Depuis le Parlement hellénique, vous visiterez la trilogie d'Athènes, l'Académie d'Athènes, l'Université et la Bibliothèque nationale, de magnifiques bâtiments néoclassiques dans l'une des rues athéniennes les plus populaires.
À l'apogée de la culture et du pouvoir athéniens anciens (environ 500 avant notre ère au milieu des années 300 avant notre ère), l'agora était le centre de tous les aspects de la vie publique. C'était le centre de la vie économique et un marché animé. Les bâtiments les plus importants sont Stoa of Attalos, une reconstruction de l'ancien bâtiment, achevé en 1956 par l'École américaine d'études classiques et le temple d'Héphaïstos, commandé par Périclès et achevé en 415 av.
Le musée de l'Acropole a été construit pour abriter tous les objets trouvés sur le rocher et sur les pentes environnantes de l'âge du bronze grec à la Grèce romaine et byzantine. Plus de 4 250 objets sont exposés sur une superficie de 14 000 mètres carrés.
S'il reste du temps, vous aurez une heure de temps libre dans l'ancien quartier d'Athènes près de l'Acropole, nommé Plaka. Plaka regorge de gens, de musique, de restaurants typiques «tavernes», de belles maisons, de cafés confortables et de petites boutiques de souvenirs. Vous visiterez Anafiotika, une petite zone de Plaka qui vous rappelle une île des Cyclades. Ensuite, nous vous déposerons à votre résidence ou à l'aéroport.

We saw everything on our list, with flexibility to adjust the itinerary based on preference. Petrie provided a lot of history and information between destinations. Having tickets prepaid saved a lot of time waiting in line.
We loved this experience! It was a long day, but the driver was absolutely amazing! He was very knowledgeable, friendly, punctual, and offered us water frequently. The car was very nice and spacious. It was very convenient to ride in the car to the main tourist attractions (in the air conditioning) and hear about them and the Greek culture along the way. We added on a tour guide for the Acropolis, which we enjoyed. The driver is unable to go in with you to the attractions, so I would recommend a tour guide if you are interested in the history. I would also recommend looking up the other attractions to see if you are interested in them prior to purchasing the tickets. We purchased a lot of tickets without doing enough research and we were pretty exhausted by the end of the tour. We also enjoyed the lunch spot he recommended. Overall, this was a very memorable experience and I would highly recommend it.

One of the best tours we have been on! Dimitrius took care of and treated us more like his family than a customer. Dimitrius' vast knowledge of history was awesome for my son's, he went into detail on every question and site. We got to see the Pantheon from both a mountain peak and going to the site, we also got to see the Coliseum, Library and Changing of the Guard. Two highlights for my teenage son's was the local restaurant we ate at and seeing where Giannis basketball court. I can't thank Dimitrius enough for such a great day.

Our driver was half hour early just so he would be there on time. He was very friendly and welcoming. We hired a private guide to help us with the tour. That was well worth while. She was very knowledgeable and explained the details that you would not get from a book. Excellent day in Athens

Our driver Dimitris was amazing!!!!! He was so warm, friendly, and knowledgeable. He went out of his way to make our day special guest with a stop for sweets as well as a little shopping. Our stops were terrific and we loved all of it. The sights were beautiful and the city alone with energy. Dimitris made us feel like we were natives! This is the way one should tour Athens!!!

Our family had a great experience, despite the hot weather, on our tour of Athens for the day. The tour host, Dimitri, made the difference and was outstanding. He offered suggestions and alternatives as to what we could do that day based on our needs. He took us to special places to eat both for brunch and dinner - and arranged an "extra" tour of the Poseidon Temple added to the end of the day at our request. He was also extremely knowledgeable about Athens and Greek history as well as local culture.
