Le complexe du temple de Dendérah remonte à la période ptolémaïque (de la fin du IVe siècle avant notre ère au milieu du Ier siècle avant notre ère) et a été construit sur le site de structures antérieures. Il se compose de plusieurs bâtiments, dont le temple principal, la maison de naissance, le lac sacré, un sanatorium et diverses chapelles et sanctuaires. Le temple principal de Dendérah est une structure impressionnante avec des murs et des plafonds joliment décorés. Les reliefs et les sculptures représentent diverses scènes de la mythologie égyptienne et des rituels religieux. L'un des éléments les plus célèbres du temple est le zodiaque de Dendérah, un relief astronomique bien connu qui est désormais exposé au musée du Louvre à Paris.

Our private tour with Abdel was exceptional! His extensive historical and cultural knowledge made this tour worthwhile. More tourist should experience Dendera Temple. So much to see. We'd highly recommend Abdel as a guide! He was so hospitable and took time to answer all of our questions. We didn't feel rushed.

Great experience! The guide Abdelwahab was very knowledgeable and accommodating. The temple itself is very beautiful, an underrated gem with an extensive mix of history, architecture, and art. As it's out of the way, there are very little people. Would recommend. The driver Mahmoud was very smooth.

We had a fantastic trip to Dendera Temple. The drive took about an hour each way, and our driver was excellent—very safe, professional, and made the journey comfortable and stress-free. The temple itself was incredible. The architecture is impressive, but what amazed us most were the colours that have survived for thousands of years. Seeing the vibrant ceiling decorations and carvings still intact was truly unforgettable. We paid extra to visit the catacombs. It is only a short corridor, accessed through a small opening that you have to climb through before being able to stand up inside. While it is a relatively small area, it was an interesting experience and added something different to the visit. We also purchased a rooftop ticket, which was definitely worthwhile. The views from the top were excellent and provided a unique perspective of the temple and surrounding area. Overall, Dendera Temple exceeded our expectations and was one of the highlights of our time in Egypt. The combination of stunning ancient artwork, fascinating history, and unique access to the catacombs and rooftop made it a memorable visit.

We had a very pleasant tour of the Dendera temple with our guide Hany Yassen and the driver Ali. Hany was very informative and explained all the important facts about the temple and surroundings. The tour started perfectly on time and was a short 45 minutes drive from Luxor. We definitely recommend visiting this temple as it's the best-preserved in all of Egypt.

Ahmed as guide and mahmound as driver delivered us a perfect experience. They picked us up very punctual and took us by car to the valley of kings and hatseput. Ahmed was fun and very good at explaining everything and answering doubts. We were a group of 3 and loved it! Higly recommend

The visit to Dendera temple was fabulous. The color on the relief is stunning and our guide Ahmed Abdulteif made the experience so memorable with his knowledge, passion for history and photography skills. Our driver Mohamed got us there quickly and safely. Beautiful drive and wonderful trip.

Would definitely recommend - the temple was probably the best that we saw. Well worth the drive from Luxor. Abdelwahab gave us a bunch of info about mythology on the drive up - I knew a lot going in but picked up a few new things. He pointed out a bunch of interesting details at the temple itself. He was also gave a lot of color about the area we were in and modern Egypt which we appreciated. Drive in both directions was very easy, Ahmed as a great driver and it was probably the most comfortable car we were in while in Egypt.
