Description
Lors de cette visite, vous serez conduit dans l'ancienne ville de l'âge de Budda. Vous visiterez Dhamek Stupa, Chaukhandi Stupa ainsi que le temple tibétain. En outre, vous avez une occasion incroyable d'explorer le musée de Sarnath qui contient des artefacts et des écritures datant du 3ème siècle.

Le chauffeur viendra vous chercher à n'importe quel endroit ou aéroport de Varanasi et vous conduira vers la ville de Sarnath.
C'est votre premier arrêt dans la ville de Sarnath. C'est un stupa massif originaire de tumuli pré-bouddhiste, dans lequel les ascètes étaient enterrés en position assise, appelée chaitya.
Le prochain arrêt sera un autre stupa bouddhiste. Ces stupas ont évolué à partir des tumulus funéraires et servent de sanctuaire pour une relique du Bouddha.
Cette ville abrite un grand nombre de temples bouddhistes du XXe siècle construits et entretenus par des moines tibétains, chinois et japonais. Ce temple abrite une statue de Bouddha Shakyamuni ou Bouddha en position de repos. Célèbre pour ses peintures et fresques de Thangka ou bouddhistes tibétains, le temple tibétain en présente beaucoup sur les murs et les plafonds.
Dernier point mais non le moindre, vous serez conduit dans un musée. Certaines images remarquables du musée sont celles de la prédication de Bouddha, de la période Gupta, et de la capitale du lion d'Ashoka. D'autres objets comme des figures d'oiseaux, d'animaux, de têtes mâles et femelles datant du 3ème siècle avant JC au 12ème siècle après JC et des terres cuites, des briques et des pots cuits au four décorés, des images de Jain Tirthankaras Parshvanatha et Vimalanatha, etc.
Le chauffeur vous ramènera à votre emplacement préféré à Varanasi, avec de merveilleux souvenirs de la ville de Sarnath.

Overall positive, but the whole/half day tour seems to be quite tiring especially in a hot day. Himanshu is a great guide and very friendly.
