Alfama est le plus ancien quartier de Lisbonne. Une capsule temporelle de rues étroites et labyrinthiques, et de points de vue surplombant le château de Saint George, la ville et le Tage. On s'arrête à l'un d'eux.
Apprenez à connaître les détails du grand tremblement de terre et comment Lisbonne renaît de ses cendres. Baixa, ou centre-ville de Pombaline, tire son nom du marquis de Pombal, le premier ministre du Portugal qui a dirigé la reconstruction de Lisbonne après le grand tremblement de terre de 1755. Un maillage de rues, avec des constructions innovantes résistantes aux tremblements de terre, l'une des premières au monde.
Belém est le quartier emblématique de l'ère portugaise de la découverte (années 1400-1500). Abritant des monuments historiques qui nous rappellent le passé maritime du Portugal. Comme les sites du patrimoine mondial des années 1500 - la tour de Belém (arrêt photo) et le monastère de Jerónimos (à l'extérieur seulement, nous n'entrerons pas). Là se distingue le Monument aux Découvertes - un gigantesque navire en calcaire, prêt à prendre la mer sur le Tage, avec Henri le Navigateur à la proue. Et aucun voyage à Belém ne serait complet sans un arrêt au "Pastéis de Belém" pour déguster notre célèbre tarte à la crème anglaise aux œufs (non incluse - votre guide vous aidera à naviguer dans les lignes et à trouver une table).

We had a great half day with Sandra touring Lisbon! She was extremely knowledgeable and engaging. The route was well thought out and she customized for our interests as well. Our tour with Sandra and No Map Tours was amazing! She picked us up at the cruise port on time..early actually. She took us to some incredible sites and was very good at explaining all the history!
