Ce voyage est un itinéraire distinct d'une demi-journée à l'est de Jeju pour les nombreux croisiéristes visitant Jeju avec de courts séjours. Si vous choisissez le côté est de Jeju, vous pourrez profiter des performances des plongeuses de Jeju à Seongsan Ilchulbong, désigné par l'UNESCO. Il y a une représentation unique tous les jours à 14 heures. Tous les lundis, le musée Haenyeobeok et le plateau culturel de pierre sont fermés. Elle est donc remplacée par une belle plage de hamdeok.

L'ensemble du village, qui préserve le lieu de vie des habitants du vieux Jeju, a été désigné patrimoine culturel folklorique important. Bien qu'il puisse être considéré comme une sorte de village folklorique, il diffère des villages folkloriques ordinaires dans la mesure où les gens y vivent encore aujourd'hui. Les habitants du village font office de guides bénévoles pour offrir aux visiteurs toutes sortes d'informations. Le Zelkova à feuilles de scie et le micocoulier du Japon au centre du village valent le détour.
Le cône de tuf de Seongsan Ilchulbong, une attraction emblématique de Jeju, s'est formé il y a environ 5 000 ans à la suite d'une éruption de magma au fond de l'océan. Il est particulièrement célèbre comme point d'observation du lever du soleil, connu pour être l'un des dix paysages les plus exquis de l'île de Jeju. En plus d'observer le lever du soleil, Seongsan Ilchulbong Tuff Cone est également connu pour être un excellent lieu de randonnée. Le sentier Seongsan-Ojo relie deux villages en traversant le sommet. Un autre sentier populaire, le Jijil Trail, offre un aperçu plus approfondi du géoparc désigné par l'UNESCO ainsi que de la culture locale de Jeju. Il est recommandé de parcourir l'un de ces sentiers pour réellement découvrir la région ; marcher jusqu'au sommet offre une vue à la fois sur le vaste cratère volcanique au centre et sur l'océan bleu qui entoure la région. Pour terminer votre voyage, dirigez-vous vers le port de Seongsanpo pour observer les haenyeo (plongeuses) au travail.
Les Jeju haenyeo sont les mères fortes de Jeju et les piliers spirituels des habitants de Jeju. En outre, la vie de la communauté haenyeo de Jeju est un modèle vers lequel l’humanité devrait tendre. Jeju haenyeo a formé une communauté basée sur le mérite et décidée démocratiquement par le biais de discussions. Elle ne s'occupait pas seulement des personnes âgées et infirmes, comme Halmang Badang et Geseok, et collectait des fonds avec ses bénéfices matériels pour contribuer à la société, comme les villages et les écoles. Elle a également imaginé divers engins pour coexister avec la mer, tels que le balayage des plages, la récupération de l'or et la dialyse. La culture haenyeo de Jeju a été reconnue pour sa valeur et a été inscrite au patrimoine culturel immatériel de l'humanité de l'UNESCO le 30 novembre 2016 (heure locale).
La longueur totale de Manjanggul Lava Tube est d'environ 7.4km. C'est un tube de lave qui est partiellement multicouche. La largeur du tunnel principal est de 18m et sa hauteur est de 23m. C'est l'un des plus grands tubes de lave au monde. Il existe de nombreux tubes de lave dans le monde, mais le tube de lave de Manjanggul a une signification significative dans la mesure où il a été formé il y a des milliers d'années, et il est très bien conservé. Par conséquent, il est très précieux pour les chercheurs et les scientifiques. En raison de l'enfoncement du plafond, il y a 3 entrées. Celui que les touristes peuvent utiliser est la deuxième entrée et ils ne sont autorisés à aller jusqu'à 1 km dans elle. Il y a diverses formations de grottes dans le tunnel de lave dans le tube de lave de Manjanggul, telles que des stalactites, des stalagmites, des pierres de coulée, des tubes de lave, des plateaux de lave et des radeaux de lave. En particulier, la colonne de lave qui se trouve à la fin de la zone touristique est d'environ 7,6m de haut et est connue comme la plus haute colonne de lave au monde.
La plage de Gwangchigi offre l'une des vues les plus vierges et spectaculaires le long du littoral de Jeju. Au loin se trouve le pic Seongsan Sunrise, classé au patrimoine naturel mondial de l'UNESCO et joyau de l'île de Jeju. Dans la région se trouvent de nombreux cafés et restaurants branchés, ainsi que des hébergements de voyage et activités amusantes en famille, comme l'aquarium Aquaplanet. C'est également là que se connectent les sentiers pédestres Olle 1 et 2.

The rain came down and Tera had the driver stop so that we could get rain coats. We did our tour in the rain and still had a wonderful time. Tera was great!!! One person thought they left their phone and Tera and the driver took them back to look for it. Great team had a beautiful day even though it rained.

Boy was our Guide Lee fantastic. He picked us up right at the cruise terminal, and took off on a great tour of the island. We had two requests (eating black pork and drinking Shoju) which he managed to pack into the full day tour. He was very knowledgeable and his English was superb.

Our guide Ko was wonderful. It was a very rainy day and our ship had shortened the time we would be in port by a lot, but Ko managed to find things we could see and do in the time we had. We would love to visit Jeju again sometime to see more of the island. Would definitely hire Ko again.
