Visite privée d'une demi-journée en vélo électrique à Rio
Description
L'idée de faire un tour à vélo électrique à Rio est née de ma passion pour le vélo et de mon amour pour la ville où j'ai choisi de vivre. Après plusieurs jours à pédaler dans la forêt avec un vélo normal, j'ai commencé à me demander comment il serait possible de rendre cette expérience viable pour beaucoup plus de gens. C'est ainsi que j'ai eu l'idée d'acheter des vélos électriques capables d'aider ceux qui en ont besoin en cours de route. (les vélos sont assistés par pédale, n'ont pas d'accélérateur et ne sont pas une moto) Au cours de cette expérience, vous aurez l'occasion de découvrir de nombreux endroits merveilleux, peu accessibles et moins connus. À la fin de la journée, vous aurez une image différente de Rio de Janeiro et vous en saurez beaucoup plus sur la composition et la structure de la ville. En plus de cela vous serez en contact permanent avec la nature, avec des rencontres possibles et probables avec des toucans, des singes et bien d'autres animaux exotiques.

Itinéraire
Nous nous retrouverons à la Rua Aarão Reis 105, où je vous montrerai le fonctionnement des vélos électriques et vous donnerai des conseils sur la façon d'aborder la visite. Nous commencerons à parcourir le quartier de Santa Teresa en direction de Mirante Dona Marta, en passant par divers points touristiques tels que le Castelo Valentim, le Mirante Dos Prazeres et l'école CEAT, inspirée de l'ancien palais de Florence.
Nous arriverons à Mirante Dona Marta, l'un des plus beaux points de vue de la ville, où nous garerons les vélos et prendrons diverses photos avec vue sur le Christ Rédempteur et le Pain de Sucre et j'expliquerai comment la ville est structurée.
Depuis le Mirante Dona Marta, nous nous dirigerons vers le Centro de Vistante Paneiras (parking du Christ Rédempteur), où se trouvent une salle de bain et un bar pour faire une pause.
Du Centro de Vistante Paneiras, nous commencerons la piste cyclable à l'intérieur des routes de la forêt de Tijuca. Nous passerons par de nombreuses vues incroyables sur la merveilleuse ville, nous aurons des rencontres possibles avec des singes, des toucans et d'autres animaux exotiques. Nous atteindrons le quartier Alto da Boa Vista en descendant du Corcovado (la montagne où se trouve le Christ Rédempteur), où il sera possible d'aller aux toilettes et de se rafraîchir.
Depuis le quartier Alto da Boa Vista nous reprendrons notre circuit en direction de la table de l'empereur, face à une autre montée qui sera rendue moins fatigante à l'aide de l'assistance au pédalage. La Table de l'Empereur est l'endroit où l'empereur Dom Pedro II avait l'habitude de pique-niquer, avec une vue incroyable sur la zone sud de Rio de Janeiro.
De la Table de l'Empereur, nous commencerons à descendre vers la Vista Chinesa, l'un des points de vue les plus célèbres et les moins accessibles de la ville. De là, il sera possible de voir le Christ Rédempteur, le Pain de Sucre, Lagoa, Ipanema, la baie de Guanabara et bien d'autres endroits de la ville. Je prendrai plusieurs photos souvenirs et nous entamerons la dernière descente vers Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas.
De la Vista Chinesa, nous descendrons vers Lagoa, en passant par les cascades d'Horto (endroit où il sera possible de s'arrêter pour prendre des photos et prendre un bain rapide) et du côté du jardin botanique de Rio. Nous emprunterons une bonne partie de la piste cyclable de Lagoa, où il y a plusieurs vues incroyables sur Rio, en direction de Copacabana.
Nous arriverons au sud de la plage de Copacabana et nous parcourrons toute la piste cyclable en direction de Botafogo.
De Copacabana, nous suivrons la piste cyclable et atteindrons la plage de Botafogo, où il y aura une vue spectaculaire sur le Pain de Sucre.
De la plage de Botafogo, nous continuerons la piste cyclable qui nous mènera au parc le plus beau et le plus célèbre de Rio, le terro do Flamengo. Nous la couvrirons presque entièrement en longeant la plage de Flamengo et nous retournerons au point de départ, Santa Teresa, face à la dernière montée de la journée.
Nous arriverons à Santa Teresa en passant par la rue la plus célèbre et la plus touristique du quartier, où je vous montrerai des botiques et des restaurants. De Largo dos Guimaraes, nous irons au point de départ (à quelques mètres) où la visite se terminera.

We did the tour with Stefano from www.vitacarioca.com (I recommend visiting his page for more details and other tours) on the first day we arrived in Rio and we were delighted. I can say it was the best experience in Rio, on par with Christ the Redeemer or Sugarloaf Mountain, but with the advantage of not having the crowds of those places. If you want to escape the typical crowded tours, this is your option; being able to go through the jungle with hardly anyone around is priceless. Jungle, beautiful landscapes, stunning views, and Stefano was a 10, very friendly, talking about the animals, giving city and food tips, etc. The bicycles were excellently maintained; they were not heavy even without electric assistance (I have tried others that felt like moving a dead weight without it), and they come with spare batteries. Everything was very well planned. Although the tour is not advertised in Spanish, do not hesitate to do it if you only speak Spanish, as he speaks and understands it perfectly at 95%. I had a fantastic experience with Vita Carioca and would definitely recommend their e-mountainbike tours. Communication was smooth from the start—everything was arranged via WhatsApp, and I could easily discuss route options in advance. They generally suggest different routes in Tijuca National Park (around 30–50 km) as well as a more urban option; I chose the longer park tour and it was absolutely worth it. Despite Rio’s heat, the temperature in the park was surprisingly comfortable, and with the e-bikes the distance is very manageable. I especially appreciated how safe everything felt—no riding through favelas—and how you get to see a completely different, green side of Rio that’s easy to miss otherwise. The guide was attentive and well-organized, even coordinating with my Uber driver beforehand to ensure a safe ride to Santa Teresa. Along the way, we had plenty of scenic stops, amazing views of Corcovado, and even spotted two sloths. The equipment was high quality (helmet included), and you can adjust the difficulty easily by controlling the level of assistance on the bike. After the tour, I received lots of great photos and videos, and the guide even dropped me off at the Selarón Steps, which was a nice extra touch. Overall, a really enjoyable and unique way to explore Rio.

If you’re after a unique and energetic view of Rio this is the tour for you. Stefano guided us through some amazing parts of Rio that most tourist would not experience. Being on an e-bike gave us a real connection to the environment which included the forest as well as the city and beaches. We saw several types of monkeys, turtles, toucans and lots of other birds. We covered 50km in 6 hours which should be considered when booking this. Totally worth the effort. Thanks Stefano for a memorable tour.

Our e-bike tour was the highlight of our trip to Rio. The ride started at our guides local suburb, which gave us more authentic feel of the city. Great bikes that made things effortless so we could relax and enjoy the views. Stefano was friendly, knowledgeable and made sure we felt safe navigating both the greener areas and the coastal paths. We’ve been visiting Rio for many years. This tour provided by Stefano was so much fun. We were able to see things from a perspective we’ve never seen before. Stefano did an excellent job leading us up and down the hills and throughout the city. This was one of our favorite memories from our trip. Not to mention we impressed our adult kids doing 50k and surviving. Thanks once again Stefano- we are definitely coming back and bringing our kids on this tour.
