The tour guide was excellent; I learned a lot from him! He was extremely knowledgable and very kind.
Azab the tour guide was excellent! Professional, knowledgable and helpful. Dendara Temple was gorgeous. The private car ride was smooth, safe and fast. Drive was 1 hr and 20 mins. Mustafa the driver is an excellent driver! We requested airport drop off too. Highly recommended half day excursion.
Professional guide Azab and driver Mostafa made my day ✨ Guide Azab has so much knowledge and helped me understand ancient Egyptian history. What a beautiful Dendera Temple. You must see! Also secret holy place Abydos…. Colour and reliefs are well preserved. Along with professional guidance you would enjoy much better. Nile Holiday provide you great experiences👍
Nice visit to Dendara Temple - it's a fun one to experience because you can climb on top, and visit a lower crypt. It's also still very colorful, in the first room with the pillars. The drive is about an hour/hour and 15 from Luxor, and water was provided (although, I saved mine for the return trip only to find it cracked into and half drank when we got back to the car. Uhhh... Wasn't me or my wife, so maybe the driver?? I didn't touch it, but felt thirsty...). Our guide was a nice man, but he tended to speak a lot and very randomly, so it was a little hard to follow. We wanted to shoot a lot of photos and video here but we kept feeling like we held up the tour. After a while we were given some free time to explore, but it wasn't much time. There's a lot here to see. Overall, we're glad to have visited and enjoyed the tour.
We had an extra day to spare in Luxor so we decided to do this tour. We’re so glad we did! Dendera is a temple dedicated to the goddess Hathor, located about an hour’s drive by car from Luxor. It is among the best preserved temples in Egypt, and because it is further away you don’t get as many tourists. When we arrived at 7am we had the place all to ourselves, great for pictures! Recently, researchers cleaned centuries of dirt and soot from the walls and ceiling to reveal the original colour of the ceilings and walls which still shine inbright colours. You can also climb the roof, there’s a section where the Dendera zodiac once stood (stolen by the French and kept in the Lourve). Don’t miss the carving of Cleopatra and her son Caesarion on the external South wall. The tour guide and driver picked us up and dropped us off from our hotel in Luxor, entire trip was around 5 hours which includes 2hr travel time (two ways). Take the 6am departure from Luxor if you wish to arrive before the rest of the crowds, which tend to start trickling in from 9am onwards.
Well organized. Temple very beautiful and not so crowded. The first space is amazing. Guide and driver top!
The half trip to Dendera temple was amazing and worth the trip. To start my tour guide was Walid. He had some much knowledge and was one of the best guides I had in Egypt. The hotel pick up was smooth and easy. The drive to the Temple was a little over an hour. The ceiling was incredible and is worth the trip. I would recommend Nile Holiday and this trip to anyone.
The guide and driver turned up on time, and were helpful and polite. Our guide (Hosne) was very friendly, and knowledgeable about his subject ... and very patient with all our questions and photo taking; we learned a great deal. Our driver drove well, and the car was clean and comfortable. A great day trip, and I would certain use again.

When you're in Luxor, you must take this trip to Dendera! One of the most intact Egyptian monuments and the wall and ceiling decorations here are awesome! I got my own guide and driver so I had a great and if you love history this is it!
