Description

The guide Muhhamad is very thorough. He is very knowledgeable about the hieroglyphics and he tells a good story deciphering the statues and hieroglyphics for us. The car is a nice 7 seater van. The last row is used as luggage space. So the car is spacious and comfortable. Good AC for the hot day. The tour is well paced, and we got to explore the crypt and the roof as well.
Abdalla was a great guide and had a lot of knowledge, and Dendera was amazing. He showed me a lot of interesting stuff in the temple that I would have missed. The drive was comfortable. note the tour lasts longer than 3 hours described, which was ok for me
We first came across this tour on Tripadvisor, and arranged it directly with the operater Ayman, so that we could customise the start time and have a bit of a lie-in. Ayman was helpful at every stage of the process! Sherry was our tour guide and did an excellent job; taking photos and videos, and with an absolute wealth of information at her fingertips. Unlike some guides we had at other points in Egypt, she knew every single detail, and was great at explaining things. She was also a really lovely person, and we really enjoyed spending the day with her. Our driver, Ahmed, was also a lovely man, a very safe driver, and thoroughly reliable, always punctual, and very fair. We felt he was so good that we arranged with him directly to drop us off at the airport later that day! The drive was relatively long (just over an hour and a half), but Dendera was a beautiful site, with a wealth of things to see. The ceilings are famous for their colours (and their numerous points of interest). We also headed up to the roof and down to the crypt. I'm really pleased to have been able to see it, and it was also incredibly empty, so a real privilege to be able to wander around it. All in all, this was a very pleasant half-day excursion!
Had a wonderful experience. Elite trip was very responsive answering queries promptly. My guide was Sherry. She was a very nice, helpful and polite. Explained things well. Thank you Elite trip and Sherry
I had an absolutely incredible half-day tour to Dendera Temple, and I cannot recommend it enough. Mohamed was an outstanding guide—extremely knowledgeable and passionate about ancient Egyptian history, explaining every carving, symbol, and story in a way that truly brought the temple to life. He told me everything about the history with such clarity and depth that I left with a much deeper understanding and appreciation of this powerful site. The driver was also excellent—professional, punctual, and very safe—which made the entire experience seamless and comfortable from start to finish. If you are visiting Dendera, I highly recommend this tour and especially Mohamed as your guide.
We had a small incident with the driver who wanted to take a longer route. We discussed it with the manager and it was resolved satisfactorily. We recommend it.

I recently visited the Temple of Dendera with my father, and the experience exceeded all expectations thanks to our amazing driver, Ehab, and our outstanding guide, Prof. Abdullah Fouad. The tour started punctually at 9:00 a.m. in Luxor, where both Ehab and Prof. Fouad welcomed us in the hotel lobby. The drive to Dendera (about 1–1.5 hours) was already a highlight: the professor shared fascinating insights about the region, the development of new cities such as New Luxor, and the seasonal crops that now cover areas that used to be desert. His passion for his hometown and for Egypt was evident throughout the journey. At the Dendera complex, Prof. Fouad guided us through the temple with exceptional clarity and enthusiasm. He explained the historical evolution of the site, translated inscriptions and reliefs, and answered every question with expertise and kindness. Visiting Dendera with him transformed a beautiful place into an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Luxor. The professionalism of Ehab and the depth of knowledge of Prof. Abdullah Fouad made this one of the most memorable experiences of our trip. A must-do!
Mohammed was a great tour guide- very informative and knew a lot of history. The driver, whose name was also Mohammed, was also good and had a great car with cold AC. The temple is absolutely beautiful and very cool to see with so much colour!
