Après avoir terminé l'expérience, vous pouvez rester sur le site jusqu'à la fermeture et continuer à explorer les beautés avec les conseils que je vais vous donner.

Après avoir rencontré le guide à la billetterie à l'intérieur du site archéologique d'Herculanum, il sera possible d'acheter les billets d'entrée (si on ne vous a pas demandé de les acheter à l'avance ou s'ils n'ont pas été achetés en ligne). Le billet d'entrée au parc archéologique d'Herculanum vous donnera l'occasion de voir toutes les attractions et maisons présentes lors de la visite. Le guide vous attendra avec une pancarte pour être reconnu.
Nous verrons les squelettes de personnes décédées lors de l'éruption de 79 après JC. et nous regarderons sur la terrasse pour imaginer le panorama avant la grande explosion du Vésuve.
La Casa dei Cervi est une maison luxueuse avec une terrasse donnant sur la mer.
Le nom de la domus est dû à un haut relief où était illustré le mythe de Telephus.
La maison de la cloison en bois est ainsi appelée grâce à la découverte d'une cloison en bois qui a été calcinée en raison de l'éruption du Vésuve.
La maison de la Chambre Noire doit son nom à son salon peint en noir. C'est l'une des domus les plus luxueuses d'Herculanum.
Nous verrons le bateau carbonisé par l'éruption du Vésuve et récemment découvert.
Le Collège des Augustales conserve les fresques représentant Hercule entrant dans l'Olympe. Dans cette pièce, le squelette du gardien décédé lors de l'éruption et en 79 après JC a été retrouvé allongé sur le lit.
La Maison du Squelette d'Herculanum doit son nom à la découverte du squelette d'un habitant qui n'a pas pu se sauver.
La Casa Sannitica est l'une des plus anciennes maisons d'Herculanum.
La Maison de Neptune et d'Amphitrite est un environnement qui vous laisse sans voix avec ses riches compositions scénographiques.

We took a tour of Herculaneum with Roberto and we loved it! Roberto was very knowledgeable, had a good sense of humor, and was able to adjust his delivery to our needs. He is clearly enthusiastic about the amazing artifacts in Herculaneum. His enthusiasm rubs off on those who take the tour. I especially like that. He was very open to us asking questions. He answered with authority and understanding. A summary of what we did: he described the overall situation in Herculaneum, the eruption and its consequences, in then took us into the museum to show us the artifacts that were found inside the homes and on peoples bodies, like jewelry. Then we walked through the city itself. The sequence was very appropriate, as it allowed us to visualize the jewelry on the people and the glasses and spoons on the tables in the rooms of the houses that we viewed. Overall, a fantastic tour, well worth the value! I should also add that we saw Pompeii two years ago, and it is definitely worth it to see Herculaneum also.
We took a two hour tour of Herculaneum with Maria. She was fantastic with keeping our younger kids interested throughout our tour. She provided a wealth of knowledge and we felt like we covered the whole town easily. Thank you Maria!

Amedeo gave our family of four a wonderful tour of Herculeneum, far more engaging than an audio guide -- especially for our 14 and 11 year old boys. His mastery of and passion for the material was evident throughout, especially during our ongoing Q&A. The site itself is incredible in many ways and well worth an excursion from nearby hubs. (In our case, Rome.)
Amedeo was my guide, and he was helpful and very nice. This was an amazing experience, and there were a lot of different things to see. There were mosaics, carbonated wood, part of a boat, and even ancient advertisements. Having a private tour was helpful, as I could ask a lot of questions, but a non-private tour would also be fine.

It felt like we were walking in the footsteps of those who perished. Italy should be proud of such fine academics and support their continued work, as clearly there is still much to learn from these ancestors.
