La célèbre vieille ville. Vous pouvez choisir de vous arrêter pour faire du shopping, des souvenirs ou une promenade dans l'un des célèbres quartiers: -Vieille ville du quartier de Plaka -Région de Monastiraki -Centre commercial de la rue Ermou -Marché alimentaire central de Varvakeios
Ensuite, nous roulons à 10 km au sud du centre d'Athènes jusqu'à la ville portuaire du Pirée, le plus grand port de la Méditerranée, la plaque tournante du réseau de ferries de la mer Égée, le centre du commerce maritime de la Grèce et la base de sa grande marine marchande. Au-delà de ses bureaux d'expédition, les banques et les bâtiments publics sont un fouillis de zones piétonnes, de rues commerçantes et de zones plutôt sales. Les quartiers les plus attrayants de la ville du Pirée sont le petit port de Mikrolimano, Marina Zeas / Pasalimani, la zone côtière de Peiraiki et la colline de Kastella.

It was an okay tour. Athens is covered in graffiti and traffic getting to the Acropolis, Parthenon area takes up most of your time. It is quite a few steps to the lower Acropolis and Parthenon viewing area and rocky viewing area overlooking the city. if you want to see Acropolis up close you have to buy tickets and take more steps way up to see them both. We were dropped off in Monastriki shopping area for an hour. Same stuff in every shop. Had a bit of a driving tour around Piraeus port where all the yachts are. We did stop at the university and old library which are stunning buildings.
I arranged a private tour of Athens for my cruise group and it was amazing! Fotis and his driver did an excellent job taking us to the highlights of Athens! We saw the Acropolis (we did not want to go inside). We saw an olympic stadium. We saw the guards watching over the tomb of the unknown soldier (we missed the changing of the guards). We had free time in which to eat and shop. I had a special request to stop at McDonald's for fried apple pies and Fotis delivered. It was a wonderful 5 hours - we thoroughly enjoyed it!

Avoid this hop on hop off bus at all cost. They make you get off the bus and do not take you back to the cruise port. They take you around the city and don’t follow the route, then they take you to the acropolis way. You have to stand on a very long line for over an hour to wait for the bus to take you back to the cruise port. The buses should go directly to the cruise port. We should not have to get on and off and wait for over an hour.
Terrible experience!! It’s cheap but it’s not worth it …. Just a few bus and the tour to the piraeus and glyfada it’s not interesting

Went on a private tour a family of four around Athens with Carlos, we were out for 5 hours had amazing time. Carlos was really friendly and was very knowledgeable about Athens. Great really would recommend.
