Le temple d'Angkor Wat, le plus grand monument religieux du monde, est le joyau de la couronne du Cambodge et une destination incontournable pour chaque visiteur de Siem Reap. Construit au début du XIIe siècle par le roi Suryavarman II, ce magnifique complexe de temples était initialement dédié au dieu hindou Vishnu avant de devenir un site bouddhiste.
La porte sud d'Angkor Thom est l'une des portes d'entrée les plus impressionnantes et les mieux conservées dans l'ancienne ville fortifiée d'Angkor Thom, construite à la fin du XIIe siècle par le roi Jayavarman VII. Il sert d'entrée principale à cette ville royale et est un point fort pour les visiteurs explorant le parc archéologique d'Angkor.
Angkor Thom, qui signifie « Grande Ville », était la dernière et la plus magnifique capitale de l’Empire khmer, construite par le roi Jayavarman VII à la fin du XIIe siècle. Enclavée dans un mur carré massif et entourée de larges douves, cette ancienne ville abritait autrefois plus d’un million de personnes et servait de cœur à la vie politique, religieuse et royale. Lors de votre visite à Angkor Thom, vous pourrez explorer : - Bayon Temple – Le temple des visages souriants En plein centre d’Angkor Thom se dresse le temple Bayon, célèbre pour ses 54 tours décorées de plus de 200 visages de pierre sereins et souriants, censés représenter la domination compassionnelle du roi. - La terrasse des éléphants, Cette longue terrasse était utilisée par le roi pour les cérémonies royales et l'observation des processions. Vous pourrez voir des sculptures complexes d'éléphants, de guerriers et de créatures mythiques le long de ses murs de grès. Baphuon et Phimeanakas Ces anciens temples de style pyramidal mettent en valeur la grandeur de l'architecture khmère, offrant un aperçu de la zone du palais royal.
Ta Keo est l'un des temples les plus frappants du complexe d'Angkor, connu pour son design audacieux et imposant et sa beauté inachevée. Construit à la fin du Xe siècle par le roi Jayavarman V, il devait être un temple d'État dédié au dieu hindou Shiva.
Ta Prohm est l'un des temples les plus enchanteurs et atmosphériques du complexe d'Angkor. Construite à la fin du XIIe siècle par le roi Jayavarman VII comme monastère et université bouddhiste, Ta Prohm est surtout connue pour la façon dont la nature s’est réappropriée – avec des arbres géants poussant à travers d’anciens murs de pierre.

Mr. Vuthy is very nice and made our trip memorable .
So I luckily encountered Vuthy as I was looking for a tuktuk driver to drive me to another shopping mall. I’m a solo traveller w/ no itinerary 😅. He was parking in-front of Heritage Mall. Vuthy was all friendly and polite and I instantly like his personality. So as he offered that he can be my tour driver with very affordable price, I never hesitated and get him as my tour driver. He speak English well clearly and explained to me information I needed for my day tour. His tuktuk vehicle is clean and cute too, very comfy to ride in. He offered me unlimited bottled of water and the cold clean towel which I really appreciate. Vuthy is a humble person he is honest with the price. I hope you get more tourists and be hire of your excellent and comfy service. Thank you for assisting me when I was touring in Siem Reap. Hope to come back next time and will definitely get you as my driver again.
