Description

Amazing museum, guide was disappointing
Guide was knowledgeable and passionate about the subject but disorganized. We didn’t see our first painting until 45 min after the tour start time. Once we started, the pacing was confusing. So much time was spent on the “history of the academy” and the business of the art world, that we rushed through Monet, Degas, and Van Gogh, which is what we really wanted to see. Museum is amazing but I felt like we didn’t get to truly see the works.

Hello Jennifer,
Thank you for your feedback. We are glad you appreciated our guide's passion and expertise, qualities we take great pride in at That Time in Paris.
Following a review of our records, we would like to clarify a few points. The adjusted start time was necessary due to a change in the museum’s headset office hours, beyond our control.
Upon arrival, members of your party required mobility assistance. As no specific accessibility requirements had been communicated in the booking notes, our guide had to make arrangements on the spot and adapt the route accordingly to accommodate everyone’s needs. Everyone’s comfort is important to us.
Our guides always discuss the group's interests beforehand to tailor the experience. As no specific preferences were expressed, the guide followed the planned itinerary, covering all the major artworks.
Finally, as this is a special tour led by an artist, the introduction to the Academy is essential to understanding the historical and artistic context of Impressionism. It is an integral part of the experience.
While we regret that the tour did not fully meet your expectations, we stand by our guide’s professionalism and the quality of the experience delivered.
Kind regards,
That Time in Paris

Blerta was an excellent guide and right me a lot about the art that I hadn’t noticed in previous visits. She was very flexible in getting us tickets that included the virtual experience when regular tickets weren’t available. She was so kind and caring throughout and took a lot of extra time

Go with Blerta, you won’t be disappointed !
Blerta was a wonderful guide! I highly recommend booking a tour with her. Of course, she is incredibly knowledgeable about art and history, but what really makes her stand out is that she is such a warm, passionate, and energetic person.
She is dynamic, enthusiastic, and truly knows how to bring history and art to life. While many of the tours I’ve taken in the past felt a little boring or robotic, Blerta completely drew us into her stories and anecdotes. She made everything engaging, lively, and memorable.
I would absolutely book another tour with her the next time I’m back in Paris !

Fantastic Tour!
Fantastic tour! Our guide was incredibly energetic, engaging, and knowledgeable. She asked what we wanted to see and tailored the experience around our interests. She knew so much about the different pieces and gave us tons of interesting information along the way.
She also got us super close to the main attractions, including the Mona Lisa and the stunning marble sculptures. It made the whole experience feel really special!
10/10 — would absolutely recommend!

A lovely afternoon at Musée d’Orsay
My husband and I had a wonderful experience on this Musée d’Orsay tour. We ended up being the only guests that day, so we essentially had a private tour which made it feel even more special.
Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging. She gave us a fascinating overview of the museum’s history and then guided us through some of the most important parts of the collection. She helped us understand the evolution of French art, from classical painting through Realism, Impressionism and beyond, while explaining what the artists were trying to convey in their work.
What we loved most was how she connected the art to both French history and broader artistic ideas. We learned so much and it never felt like a lecture. It felt like a conversation with a passionate expert!
She was also incredibly warm and friendly and we genuinely enjoyed spending time with her. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Paris and would happily take this tour again ourselves!
