Charles was great. Fantastic tour. Knowledgeable, friendly, fluent in English. Wonderful tour. Of course the food was excellent too but it was Charles that made the tour wonderful! He gave us many options. Offering a longer tour and more dining options. I think the tour was supposed to be 3 hrs. At hour 4 he was still offering to do more. I was happy to continue but my girlfriend was done, so at the point it was order and Grab and go home. Charles even had one last stop to get us pastries to go. Very thoughtful. You can't go wrong here!
We recently booked Charlie for a guided culture and food tour in KL. He was very generous with his time and attention. It was definitely more than a food and culture tour. Charlie was able to answer questions across a whole range of topics. Barry got a really good feel for Malaysian culture, food and society which would have been impossible without Charlie's guidance. They covered a lot of ground across the city walking and using the train exploring places that would not have been seen had it been self guided. Barry said that Charlie is a very nice guy and genuinely good company.
What a great night! I would highly recommend this to anyone. Charles has good knowledge about the city, its history, and culture. He took us to places we would never go and exposed us to great food. The walk was a good pace with not difficult parts. Everything that was ordered was nice, some things were a bit spicy but manageable. Even though 12 people can be on the tour, it was only my mum and I. Which we found a little awkward at first as we aren't big talkers but Charles was great at filling the silence and nothing was uncomfortable. P.s sorry we didn't eat all the food.
Charles (our guide) is personable, knowledgeable, and humorous! He walked us through an old Malay residential neighborhood, Chinatown, the city center, and more. We stopped to eat nasi lemak, jackfruit, Chinese noodles, and kids of other delicious foods! My family and I had a great time and walked away with full and happy bellies and a much better appreciation of the people and places of KL and all of Malaysia.
Great guide, fantastic food. Charles is a fun and informative guide, you’ll have a great night. Lots of walking, lots of food.
A food tour is dependent on the guide. In our case Charlie not only had an excellent understanding of the foods but also a rapport with the vendors. He provided insight into the foods but also the origins of the food and people. During our walk he also discussed the areas we passed through and the development of Kuala Lumpur past and future. Very enjoyable, thanks Charlie!
Thank you for coming on the tour with We are so glad you had a great time. :)
Charles was great and the food we sample was fantastic especially the banana roti. If you are staying in KL is defenetely worth doing it
We are happy to know you had a great tour with us! Thank you for sharing. :)
A great night spent with Charles! Not only did we eat a lot of amazing food, but we got to see parts of the city we wouldn’t have explored otherwise - whilst feeling completely safe - and learnt so much about the culture of Kuala Lumpur. Thoroughly recommend this experience.
Thank you so much for the review and we're glad you had a great time.
