We had a lovely tour of the old town in Bilbao with (Jonqxin)? sorry about the spelling 😬 who was very knowledgeable about the history of the Basque country and the different political views. It was a nice tour to walk around the 7 streets and point out some interesting facts. Thank you 😊
Great two hour tour of Old Town Bilbao- focused mostly on learning about the culture and history of the Basque Country. I learned a lot about the Basque people, food, language and social culture of this unique area. Recommend for a nice morning getting acquainted with this area!
Easy walking tour in extreme heat,, unfortunately in 32-38 degree heat from 10.00 . More focused on food and drink, missed several opportunities to point out major important buildings, people had to ask, what they were. The least interesting of all our city touts.
Thanks for the feedback! Just for context, one of our guides is currently in his formation process, which means he’s actively learning through real tours and real guest interaction. Unlike many jobs that happen quietly behind a screen, tour guiding is a very public profession — every answer, reaction, and moment is instantly open to review 😄 Luckily, that pressure is also what helps turn new guides into great ones (like all of ours). We appreciate the understanding while he continues building his knowledge, confidence, and own
Fabulous walking tour within the seven streets of the old town great start to the weekend in Bilbao. Lots of history, political facts, tips on what to do and food and drinks! Would definetly recommend.
Our guide Miguel did an excellent job of taking us through the "Seven Streets" that define the Old City neighborhood of Bilbao. Along the way he gave us many insights into Basque history, language, and culture, including the current social and political relationship between this autonomous region and the broader nation of Spain. He affirmed the sentiment we saw on a banner that the Basque region is neither Spain nor France as a key to understanding its people and culture. Though this tour basically stays within the Old City, Miguel also explained how to use the regional metro/subway system to easily and affordably access the beach areas at the northern end of the metropolitan area. The tour length was just over an hour and half.
Very informative tour; our guide patiently answered all questions and provided insights into the city's history and architecture, as well as everyday culture, such as the Basque language and the political system.
Excellent guide. Perfect English. Good sense of humour. Attentive to everyone’s needs
Terrific and personable guide, great 2 hours to start our time in the city, wonderful foundation to the trip
It is absolutely recommended to take this tour with Joaquin. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and provides many interesting tips (food, drinks, language, sights...) Thank you!
My tour with Miguel was absolutely exceptional. He was funny, personable, knowledgeable, informative. He told great stories, and was patient with our group. His recommendations for restaurants and places to go and things to see were spot on. One of the best walking tour experiences I’ve had. Thank you, Miguel!
