Well educated local guide led us through important and interesting places in the old town. They explained the history, use, and plans for many areas and buildings. The pace was easy, but active. We saw a lot of places and learned more about Montreal in to hours than expected. This tour is a must.
We've gone on many walking tours in cities around the world and I'm afraid this one didn't measure up. The places covered were fine but our guide, Martin, tended to speak a long time to give only a little bit of interesting information. His explanations weren't always clear and his humor fell flat. Maybe other guides are better. After a walking tour we usually feel like we've learned a lot and have a feel for the city, but this one left us wanting.

Fantastic walking tour of Old Montreal. Louis, our guide, was so informative that we all stayed engaged the whole time. Lots of interesting stories and places of interest that you wouldn’t notice by yourself. Totally recommend!

Our guide Louise was so kind and informative. A former teacher, she was so knowledgable and communicated so passionately and beautifully the cultural and political history of Montreal. Was able to answer all questions and gave recommendations on places to eat/shop/visit. A perfect introduction to a lovely part of the city.
wear hats and comfortable sneakers for the good walk. Bring small bottles of water to keep hydrated. Take lots of photos and videos of the beautiful architectures
