Suzette was a fabulous and knowledgeable guide! She showed us so many details about the French Quarter that I would have missed!
Britt was a great tour guide. This was indeed a very interesting, amazing, and fun cultural/historical tour. As a first time visitor in New Orleans , I highly recommend this walking tour with Britt. Thank you so much!
Britt is a great one, 5 stars
Knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend!
Thank you for the 5-star tour
I had a great experience on the Friends of the Cabildo French Quarter Walking Tour. I went in the morning (10:30am), to try to avoid the worse of the afternoon heat - and I ended up being the only person on the tour. My guide, Britt, was great - he was very nice and personable as well as being very knowledgeable. He knew a lot about the history of Louisiana and New Orleans including the fascinating mix over time of various cultures and peoples as well as stories of certain historical figures/personalities and information about local architecture. I learned a lot and enjoyed the tour.
Thank you for the 5-star tour review
Tom was full of great history knowledge plus current issues/topics in the area. Would highly recommend his tour.
Thank you for giving Tom and the Friends a 5-star review
Tom was an amazing tour guide.
We agree, 5-star good.
The tour was nice. We learned a little about the history of the city and some of the women who were important to the shaping of The Quarter. We did have to ask why the names in the town are mainly French but the architecture is Spanish. I think that is probably important enough that it should have been mentioned without being questioned. Our tour guide was knowledgeable but I believe we could have learned a lot more than we did in the two hours we spent with her. Especially since there were only 3 people on the tour. Also, be aware there are no breaks during the tour. They do offer one free bottle of water to take with you. But one bottle of water will not be enough if you are touring during the heat of summer. Just offering a quick stop at Lafitte Blacksmith Shop or some other place with water would have been much appreciated. Are we glad we took the tour? Yes, but we wish we had gotten more out of it.
Thank you for the 4-star review, we will pass along your comments.
I am a native Louisianian and live in NOLA half the year. I've been on many tours over the years. Our tour guide Liz S. was the best! Besides her knowledge and enthusiasm, she had researched details of Nola history that I hadn't heard before and as such, I learned so much new information. She deliverey of the material was interesting and entertaining. She obviously cares about her role as a custodian of Nola history more than the average tour guide. We enjoyed her tour so much I booked 2 more tours with her.
Liz is a great one, thanks for the 5-stars.
Really great experience! I’ve been to the area many times, but never did an official tour. Our guide, Liz S. really brought it to life!
Ric was a wonderful tour guide. He was very knowledgeable, and had great stories about the history of New Orleans. He was always able to answer our questions and gave us an even better appreciation for this beautiful city.
Ric is a great guide, thanks for 5-stars
