Notre tournée de jazz est guidée par des musiciens, chorégraphes, producteurs et réalisateurs locaux qui font partie de la communauté des artistes de la Nouvelle-Orléans. Ils sont également autochtones, historiens oraux, ambassadeurs culturels et défenseurs de la préservation. Rejoignez-nous et explorez l'évolution de la musique dans la ville connue comme « le berceau du jazz ». Accueil de Louis Armstrong, Buddy Bolden, Sidney Bechet, Louis Prima et Sharkey Bonano pour n'en nommer que quelques-uns. . .Vous serez guidé à travers les derniers sites où le jazz, le champagne et la romance régnaient en maître. Découvrez les gens, l'histoire et les influences qui ont contribué au développement du seul cadeau de l'Amérique à la culture mondiale... le jazz !

Itinéraire
La visite débutera au parc Louis Armstrong. Les voyageurs visiteront les premiers monuments pionniers du Jazz et les premières salles de danse où le Jazz règne en maître. Ils entendront les histoires de pionniers du jazz tels que ; Louis Armstrong, Jelly Roll Morton, Charles "Buddy" Bolden et d'autres icônes du Jazz.
Les voyages visiteront le New Orleans Jazz Museum ou le premier musée du Jazz à l'hôtel St. Pierre où le GRAND Louis Armstrong séjourna lorsqu'il se produisit à La Nouvelle-Orléans.
Les voyageurs exploreront les lieux sacrés de la Place du Congo, où l'on dit que les origines du jazz ont été découvertes, en plus de découvrir le plus ancien quartier afro-américain du pays, Treme.
Les voyageurs découvriront également de la musique jazz live dans l'une des rues les plus populaires et musicales de la Nouvelle-Orléans, "Frenchmen Street".

My wife and I were the only ones on tour. Learned a lot about New Orleans jazz and its beginnings. Viewed present Jazz Museum and site of new one being built. I wanted to visit some actual clubs and hear jazz if only for 10 to 15 minutes at each club.
Good Day, Hope you enjoyed your Jazz Tour experience. Unfortunately we do not do a Jazz club crawl our focus is on the pioneers, historical sites, and landmarks. We do hope Harris was able to point you to and recommend Jazz clubs and venues.

Harris was an amazing tour guide! Very personable and inspiring. He knew all the hot spots to go to see live music. His after the tour text had all the stuff we talked about and a lot of useful information. The only thing I wish we did, not negative, was to do the tour when we first go here, not the night before we left. 😊 (we will just have to go to the places he mentioned in the tour on our next visit)
