Visite à pied du centre-ville de Yangon

Description

It was very informative tour about history of Myanmar. I learned many things about Myanmar and some important buildings in Yangon thanks to guide Thin Thin. She was great, kind and very knowledgeable. We also had some local delicacies in nice places. If you like learning about history of the countries you visit you should take this tour in Yangon.
Thanks for your review! So pleased that you enjoyed our walking tour. We agree - Thin Thin is wonderful!
We did the downtown Yangon tour with Aung. He was a very knowledgeable and very polite young man. The information was mixed with old photographs of Rangoon. We had a local breakfast in a very nice local restaurant, later on delicious lassi from a clean drinks stall in the old city. All in all it was a very good experience.
Thank you for this! So glad that you enjoyed the tour.
Starting from the communication with Sampan, it was all a really pleasant and fantastic experience. They helped us navigate what we wanted within our budget, and it turned out to be just right. I asked to carry an 8 month old on the walking tour, they made sure the setup was comfortable for us and I was truly grateful for Sampan’s welcoming atmosphere. Tour guide was very gentle yet knowledgeable, nothing beats hearing stories from a local guide.
This is great. So pleased that you and your family enjoyed the tour. I am glad you are pleased with your guide Ma Tin. She is the beset! Come back and do another!

Thanks Troy! So glad you enjoyed it. Please join one of our other Walking Tours someday! :)
The tour was great. It offered us a thorough and thoughtful look at Yangon's history. Our guide, Kenneth, was highly knowledgeable and had a very interesting personal history that he weaved into his tour. He shared history about old buildings that we easily would have overlooked had we just been walking ourselves. Some of his comments could be a little repetitive at times—we didn't mind at all, but I could see how some people might. Overall we learned a lot and that was exactly what we wanted to get out of it. I definitely recommend this tour, and I would definitely book another excursion with Sampan.
Thank you for this! We always appreciate honest feedback. So glad that you learned a lot and please do contact us again for you next excursion in Myanmar!
Really enjoyable walk in the downtown area of Yangon around the former, once magnificent colonial buildings. Our guide was interesting and extremely knowledgeable.
Thank you for this Paul! We are so glad you enjoyed your Downtown Yangon walking tour with Sampan. Please try another of our walking tours sometime! Thanks for the review. Much appreciated.
I travelled to Myanmar on a trip organised by Sampan Travel. The travel organisation was flawless, the service was excellent, and the choice of guides was very good. I had three different guides - all knowledgeable, friendly and with a sense of humour! Great trip - from Yangon’s history and it’s incredible Shwedagon pagoda to relaxing in Kalaw and a most fascinating stay on and around Inle Lake… I will be back !
Thank you for this Arne! We look forward to seeing you again sometime in Myanmar. : )
