(INTRODUCTION) Cette visite vous donnera une excellente façon de vous familiariser avec la géographie, l'histoire, l'architecture et la culture de Stone Town. Cette excursion fascinante vous mène à travers un dédale de rues étroites qui compte plus de 2000 bâtiments en calcaire, couvrant une superficie de 50 hectares et avec une population de 25000 habitants vivant en banlieue. Avec ses éléments africains,arabes, indiens, persans et européens définis et qui se chevauchent, il a été classé au patrimoine mondial de l’UNESCO en 2000. Zanzibar et Stone Town sont vraiment cosmopolites.Après une visite des jardins de la Maison des Merveilles forodhani, du musée du Palais, de l'église catholique, du vieux fort, du marché de Darjani, et l'expérience de l'agitation des rues, du bazar plein de buveurs de café et des belles portes de Zanzibar, vous aussi témoignerez que Stone Town est un carrefour culturel et qu'il est digne de son titre de patrimoine mondial. Nasser was an amazing guide. He spoke very good English and explained everything clearly and succinctly. He was very kind and patient with us and answered all our questions. He started by asking us what we preferred to focus on and then built the tour around our interests. Having said that, we covered all the major historical sites, along with the Darajani Bazaar, where we got to shop for spices. He also got us free ice cream! Overall, a resounding 10 out of 10.
Nas,was the best host we had. He is very patient, kind and respectful. I like how he personalises each tour to a groups liking while making sure he gives you all the information about Zanzibar. Naz was absolutely fantastic in so many ways! He speaks excellent English, which shows right from the start how committed he is to giving guests a great tour. When you talk to other locals, you often notice a clear difference in their language skills—which is by no means meant to be derogatory toward the others, but rather highlights Naz’s exceptional dedication. Naz was a very pleasant and informative guide. He had a lot of knowledge, his English was good and he was clear to understand. He didn’t rush things and I felt I could look at some things longer if I liked. A couple of sites were closed for renovation but we visited the slave market museum instead. ( Admission at own cost) I highly recommend this tour and Naz, as a great way to get informed and know your way around Stone Town.
