John was a very knowledgeable guide - and managed to keep us all very much entertained despite some unusually cold and wet weather. Tour was very informative and John’s knowledge of the Madrid history was excellent.
Our Guide John was excellent. He was extremely professional and knowledgeable. He provided some depth to the history of Spain which made it even more rewarding. It was a really enjoyable two hours.
The guide Javier very good although he lengthened the tour a bit. The experience with SANDEMANs New Eurpe very bad. They sell it as FREE TOUR and you have to pay 4 euros per person to reserve the place on the tour so it is no longer FREE. It is 4 euros per person, plus the recommended tip of 12 euros adds up to minimum 16 euros per person so FREE has nothing. You have to be more transparent and not advertise that is confusing. Thank you.

Our tour guide, Sebastian, was a very charming guy. If you just want to spend a couple of hours walking around Madrid’s major sites, it is fine. On the other hand, if you want a meaty, well organized talk on Madrid’s evolution as a city and where it fits into the history of Spain this is not your tour.

We don’t ask them to deliver the same speech or follow a rigid format. Instead, we choose guides for their personality, their knowledge, and the unique way they bring Madrid to life. Sebastian is a great example of that. He’s a naturally charismatic guide who loves creating an enjoyable, relaxed experience while walking through the city. Some of our guides lean deeply into history and analysis, others are wonderful storytellers, performers, or even a bit comedic. Every tour reflects the individual behind it. Started my first day in Madrid with a walking tour. Sebastian was a great guide! He gave a very informative tour while keeping it light and entertaining.
We had an excellent walking tour with Jovan, it was fun and very informative. Jovan lead us through key sights, and provided lots of information and stories which made them come alive. The visit to the convent to get cookies was a highlight, and Jovan's recommendations on where to eat and visit after the tour were much appreciated! I took the 2.5-hour Madrid City Highlights Walking Tour with Sebastian, and even after 8 days of walking around the city, I’m so glad I joined. Despite being tired, I thoroughly enjoyed this tour thanks to Sebastian’s engaging and informative style. His English is excellent, which made a big difference for me—especially after struggling to understand other guides due to strong accents. Sebastian clearly knows Madrid inside and out, and he shared so much interesting history and insight that I hadn’t gotten from other tours I’d taken earlier in my trip. He’s a true expert and a fantastic guide. If you’re looking to explore Madrid’s highlights with someone who’s both knowledgeable and easy to follow, this tour is definitely worth it!
The walking and bus tour from Julia Travel was fantastic. The guide, Jorge made the excursion wonderful. His great humor, lovely and engaging personality was well received by all. The locations, the history, the storytelling made this a tour that should not be missed.
