I had a great time on this walking tour of Pune. The guide was super friendly and very knowledgeable, and it felt easy to ask questions along the way. He shared lots of interesting information without it ever feeling overwhelming. The walk was just over two hours, which was the perfect length—not too long and not rushed at all. What I really liked was that he went at my pace and never hurried me along, which made the whole experience really relaxed and enjoyable. Overall, it was a great all-round experience and a fun way to explore the city on foot. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone.
We waited for more than 40 mn. No one showed up ! And no one answered the phone ! First time we have such a bad experience. Never again.
Our Guide Dhruw is excelente. He is pretty much prepared, provides a lot of context to understand the culture. We really enjoy the tour.
Had a great walking tour with Koustubh who was very communicative before the tour and very knowledgeable, entertaining and kind during the tour. He especially made an effort to make the tour enjoyable for our 8 and 11 year olds who loved the tour. Thanks Koustubh!
Fun couple of hours walking around old Pune (we had to shorten the tour slightly, our fault!). Guide was relaxed and flexible about route and timing, which was good as we happened to be there on a very busy religious festival Saturday! One small suggestion, more historical information would have been nice. Guide Aakash was lovely helping us negotiate with sellers and taking an interest. A bit more depth would make this tour perfect.
Very nice walk. My tourguide Dhruv knows al lot about the history of Pune. So if you are interested in the story behind the buildings ask for him. Because of the heat he took some time to sit and have a short break. That was very good as we are not used to walk with these temperatures. So for me it was a good tour!
Pune in March is just too hot to explore comfortably. Honestly, apart from Dagdusheth Temple, there’s not much that’s truly worth visiting. Shaniwar Wada is mostly in ruins now—there’s hardly anything left of its former glory, and it’s more of a hangout spot for couples these days. Lal Mahal feels more like a movie set than a historical site—it lacks the authentic charm. Aga Khan Palace has also turned into more of a Gandhi memorial than a place with deep historical ambiance.
Excellent tour with Sanket, he shared a lot of stories about Pune and India, and took us to the main temples and markets in Pune. Although the streets were crowded, we managed our way to the side streets less crowded and in the shadows. We also tried local delicacies and sweets, and Sanket was great helping us with our shopping. We can only recommend this great tour with him.
Gladly again, motivated and knowledgeable guide through the old town. Has responded to individually questions and was at home in all areas. Toll
Rich in culture and history, Pune's local markets and temples are fascinating. The tour offers a deeper look into Maharashtrian life.
