Had a lovely morning on a walking tour with the guide Isiah .Isiah was friendly, courteous and very helpful .Enjoyed visiting the museum, the convention center tower and the markets .I was the only one on the tour .Recommended!
Great guide very friendly and knowledgeable. The museum was excellent and the city view wonderful it was lovely to get out amongst the locals
Main places covered are the National museum ,Kenyatta international conference center and the National archives . Decent car and the guide Elijah and driver Amos were great people and very enthusiastic and accomdative. The cost of the tour is unreasonable at 45 dollars per person where as the Nairobi park tour which is for 8-9 hours is also the same except entry fees. The tour would have been value for money if it is priced around 25 USD. We have to spend 1000 shilling for KICC visit also need to tip the guides at the museums which adds another 20 USD for me.
This is a great way to learn about Kenya’s history & culture. The museum tour is outstanding explaining Kenya’s history! You also get to see the Big 5 (stuffed) along with native birds. Afterwards you are invited to view the snakes & reptiles- another interesting visit. Then you are taken downtown to the rooftop convention center & view all of Nairobi from the rooftop. Next stop downtown busing Nairobi-traffic is crazy and then you finish up at the city market - where you can buy many craft items. Ezequiel & Hilary are great tour guides who are very knowledgeable , entertaining & helpful! Sign up for an awesome day.
I checked into the Crowne Plaza hotel at Nairobi Airport in the morning with a whole day and evening to wait for my flight home. I decided it would be a perfect opportunity to discover Nairobi's history and culture while I had the time. I booked the trip online and within an hour I was collected and welcomed by Elijah, tour guide and Amos, the driver. We headed straight for Nairobi National Museum. For a non citizen it costs 1500 ksh including the adjacent snake park. Elijah arranged for a guide, Samuel to conduct a personal tour. I was very impressed by his passion and knowledge of everything Kenyan - tribal customs, colonial history, governance, archaeological discoveries at Olduvai Gorge, Kenya's diverse range of animals, bees, and, most impressively, the vast number of bird species. He is a great ambassador for the museum. The snake park was very interesting if you're into reptiles and you can have a guide but I chose not to. There are many indigenous snakes, some venomous, some not, plus a small aquarium, crocodiles and tortoises. I was there about 15 minutes. We then drove to the Kenya International Conference Centre which had so much history, and the panoramic views from the top were a real highlight. A walk through the busy streets past Nairobi's biggest mosque, Jamie, beautifully constructed. Our visit ended at the vibrant market. You can buy anything and everything here including meat - look out for the huge birds (looked like marabou storks but don't quote me) waiting to swoop for scraps, stunning roses, African art and carvings, clothes and souvenirs. If you enjoy bartering you'll be at home here. A Swahili phrase "Punguza bei" - lower the price is useful! I highly recommend Elijah as a professional informative and attentive guide, easy to get along with and nothing was too much trouble. A big thank you to Amos for expert driving through rush hour and ready to take us to our next destination. Top tip- bring cash as well as credit cards and there is an ATM in the conference centre. Enjoy your excursion. Asante sana Elijah na Amos!
Thank you for the kind review and words will Anacola. It was really great to meet you and to share insights and experiences. We are pleased to have given you a detailed insight in to the deep culture and heritage of Nairobi and Kenya at large. Happy to host you again in the future
Elijah was a great guide and companionable person for my solo tour. I felt comfortable asking him questions and he shared a lot of insider knowledge from a resident’s perspective while also showing me city highlights. He was willing to spend whatever time it took to offer me a great experience, which I appreciated since I had only one day to see Nairobi. He made me feel comfortable asking from the start and I had a great experience.
Hello Wander, thank you so much for the kind review and words. It was really great to host to you and we appreciate the many questions. Pleased to host to again in the future. Cheers
Other than having to purchase our tickets to the National Museum - even though this tour is advertised as having this entry fee included (and no water available). The tour was fine. Plan to take cash with you to purchase your entry ticket as their web site (which you must use there) was difficult if you want to use a credit card. The cost is $10 USD each for non-residents. There are interns who provide guided services inside the museum so I would bring cash for tips for them. Frustrated because of the advertised tour and the reality tour. Other than this - our guide and driver were good.
Hi kimberley. Thank you for the kind review and words. Kindly note the price is inclusive of entrance fee at the Nairobi museum. Apologies for any confusion that may have arose. Happy to host you again in the future
The city walk starting at the helipad and ending at the Kenya National Archives, with a historical summary of Kenya, made our day an unforgettable one. It was quality throughout and we got to experience Nairobi in the best way. Thanks to our two guides, Lucas and Elvis, who gave us many insights with a lot of feeling. We recommend them to anyone who wants a solid walking tour in the best way. Rating 5 out of 5.
Thank you for the kind review and words Anders. It was really a great time with you and your family. Pleasure to have had the opportunity to guide around the city. Best wishes ❤️
The guides were truly wise and nice people. They had a lot to say about every place we visited. We went to the National Museum, Railway museum and KICC. We were very pleased at the end. Even the tour lastet longer because there were no rush and they were nice to drop us at another place than they picked us up. Friendly from beginning to end!

I had a city tour with Elijah, who was amazing. I saw as many Man attractions as I possibly could for the day that I was here. Elijah is very knowledgeable and willing to spend the time necessary for me to enjoy my day. Thanks to Lucas, Elijah was assigned to me and I appreciate them both for an amazing day.
