Le boulevard principal de Varsovie, qui vous rappelle le passé royal de la ville. Orné de palais, de parcs et de monuments, dont le palais présidentiel, l'hôtel Bristol et l'église Sainte-Croix, où est enterré le cœur de Chopin.
L'ancien centre médiéval de Varsovie avec ses toits rouges, ses maisons colorées et le château royal est le site le plus improbable du patrimoine de l'UNESCO, car il a été entièrement reconstruit après la destruction presque complète pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale. La reconstruction a été faite si méticuleusement que vous aurez du mal à dire que ce n'est pas vieux, et qu'il a donné l'exemple au reste du monde.
Curieusement nommée Ville Nouvelle, cette partie de la ville s'est également implantée au Moyen Âge. C'est le lieu de naissance de Maria Skłodowska-Curie. La Barbacane, située entre la vieille et la nouvelle ville, est une conclusion de notre promenade. Merci de nous rejoindre!

We gathered at the Nicholaus Copernicus statue and walked to old town with stops along the way. Along the way we got nice overview of Polish and Warsaw history and politics. Michael had ipad with great old photos and maps to compare with sites along the way . Discussed some heroes of Warsaw ( including Chopin ) . Along the way he was helpful with answering our questions about history, tourist suggestions and tips, etc. He created a helpful tourist e-guide that he gave to us. Very friendly and knowledgable. Highly recommend. note: Best if you just show up without buying ticket through 3rd party service and then tip him at end. He can process credit cards.

It seems incredible, but the old town is completely different from the new part filled with very European skyscrapers.... It doesn't even seem like the same city; instead, you find yourself in a context of beautiful, colorful houses, everything very unique.... Very beautiful!
A fantastic and thorough tour! Agnieszka was incredibly knowledgeable and had answers to all of our group's questions. The tour itself was a good bit of walking without being at all strenuous--approx. 1.25 miles (2 km). We hit all of the sights and learned all about Warsaw Old Town's incredible history. I highly recommend this tour.

A beautiful surprise, the old town is very typical with pretty alleys; you do not feel unsafe at all, even in the evening, with lovely parks featuring benches where you can listen to Chopin's music.
What a terrific and worthwhile tour! I knew nothing about Warsaw's Old Town, and this was a terrific introduction to the history, culture, politics, and sights of Warsaw's Old Town. We had an amazingly energetic, friendly, organized, and upbeat guide, Aga, who was not only super knowledgeable, but handled a HUGE crowd of tourists on this tour with exemplary flair. Aga also had exceptionally good English and integrated several useful touring-lecture, teaching strategies into her presentation (I know--I'm a teacher!). She also answered all questions perfectly. A genuine pleasure and I recommend it and Aga to anybody in Warsaw who wants to learn about the history, culture, politics, and major sights of Old Town!

Good guide with nice presentation. Somewhat difficult to find meeting place without having knowledge of the city because many locals unfamiliar with the name.
