Jason was good, friendly, and informative.Folks should be told up front no food or restroom breaks will be available.
It is hard to hear and see the guide. On other tours I’ve taken, the guide has a flag of some sort. Also on other tours, we have what the call a “vox box,” that lets you hear what they are saying.
Great tour! I highly recommend
Nathaniel was an excellent guide! He was very knowledgeable and did a fantastic job at keeping our group engaged. I highly recommend this tour.
Anyone who has visited St. Peter's Basilica in Rome will find many similarities here. For me, this cathedral is in no way inferior to the Roman cathedral; in fact, in many aspects, it's better. To begin with, the organization of the space is extremely well thought out. Upon arrival, we have to go through security and then are given an orange wristband that allows us to walk everywhere in the cathedral (including the Duomo and the crypt). When we got our wristbands, we were greeted by an extremely kind gentleman (he had white/gray hair and an accent that seemed to come from some Latin country). This same gentleman always asked us if we were enjoying ourselves whenever we crossed paths in the cathedral. The kindness of the people there is simply wonderful. Afterwards, we are given an audio guide that repeatedly invites us to sit and meditate on what is around us. I've never experienced this with an audio guide before. When visiting the cathedral, it's impossible to remain indifferent to the magnificence and beauty of the temple. Not to mention that every corner is extremely well cared for and preserved. A big thank you to whoever takes care of that place!!! We had the opportunity to go up the Duomo, and it has a wonderful feature: it's done in three stages (in Rome, it's not like that, and it's awful:/). At each stage, we could stop, sit, and appreciate the wonder of that place. Especially at the first stop, when we arrived, the dome had a stone bench all around it, allowing us to sit for a while. It was on this floor that I met another cathedral employee. An extremely friendly and kind young man with whom I had the pleasure of chatting briefly. We talked about the similarities with the cathedral in Rome and about an 85-year-old gentleman who dared to climb all the way to the top. Fantastic! It's great to meet people like that with inspiring stories like that. The rest of the visit was equally wonderful, with a descent to the crypt to see (among other things) the tomb of its creator, Wren, and ending with a warm coffee. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for the wonderful experience. I hope to return!
Very interesting and informative! The guide was very knowledgeable and kept the excursion flowing. Two thumbs up from me!
Christopher was an amazing tour guide! He is witty, funny and knowledgeable, and is a large part of why the tour was incredible. This tour is great for all visitors, especially first time London tourists!
Brandon is simply amazing and the best so helpful I was on his tour last Friday to see the guard change and Westminster abbey today I came to see St Paul’s and was lucky enough to have him again He is the best
Our tour guide John had a great depth of knowledge about the Westminster area and we were totally immersed in the history and culture of the area. It was a pleasure learning about the rich Royal history through him. We appreciated the small size of the tour and his availability for answering questions and providing guidance to other sites and areas of the city at the conclusion of the tour. Those thinking of booking this tour should be aware that viewing the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace is not guaranteed and although we went on a scheduled day, it was cancelled tha day of our tour. This was our second Viator tour of our vacation that we had hoped to see a Changing of the Guard (Windsor Castle & Buckingham Palace) and did not.
This is a walking tour. It takes more than 3 hours to complete but it’s filled with great sites and information. We saw some of the mansions I. The city including those used by the royal family including buckingham palace and st James palace. Our guide, Ari, was great! Very personable and knowledgeable of history and places. We loved everything we saw! Buckingham palace and St. Paul’s cathedral were spectacular sites. Weather was perfect and the flowers were in full bloom. Highly recommend if you’re up for a walk.
