We had alice as out tour guide and she was AMAZING! She was knowledgeable and passionate about the history of "bad-ass" women of Philly. I go on historical waking tours wherever I go and consider myself well read but I learned so much during this walking tour and it was so interesting! I can't recommend this tour enough for both women and men!
Thank you, Julia, for your kind review!
We need more women like Hannah Callowhill Penn who assumed the duties of governorship when her husband William Penn languished after a series of strokes. She ran the state of Pennsylvania for many years after thwarting her oldest son’s attempts to claim the family home following his father’s death. Bad boy! Badass woman! We learned this and several other stories whilst touring the great city of Philadelphia during the Semiquincentennial celebrations. Thank goodness the guides dispensed with the typical, boring “where you from” introductions. I would have appreciated an overview, however, of what was going to happen.
We appreciate your review! Thank you for joining.
This tour was exactly what I hoped for—inspirational stories of women that are difficult to find in the large-scale historical centers. My tour guide, Alice, is a history teacher who made the experience captivating, personal, and safe—like a nice long walk with a good friend. I haven't stopped talking about this experience and I’ll remember it forever.

Thank you, Sabrina.
The tour was so amazing and insightful! Joey was a great guide with a good sense of humor who taught me so much about Philadelphia's history and the women who have shaped it. I would highly recommend to those looking to learn more about the city's background and some historical women they might not be aware of!
Thank you for your kind words! SO glad you enjoyed your time with Joey.
Zoe, our guide, was phenomenal- knowledgeable, passionate, and prepared. I've lived in Philly for 20 years and learned a lot. The tour was a full two hours and it flew by.
Thank you for leaving your kind words! I will pass them along to Zoe.
This was a great tour with tons of information I did not know about important women in Philadelphia history. The guide was very informative and interesting. Highly recommend!
Thank you for leaving your kind words!
Really good alternative tour. Learned about things you wouldn't normally expect to learn on a walking tour, so well worth it, even if you're not from the LGBTQ+ community.
Thank you for leaving your kind words!
I grew up in Philadelphia and never learned anything Joey taught us. We were the only two people on the 2-hour walking tour. We enjoyed every second and will take all the tours this company offers. Our guide, Joe’s, was well-prepared with photos to show us. He welcomed our questions and showed us even more than promised. Highly recommend!
Thank you so much!!
Loved this tour! Learned so much about the untold stories and history (herstory!) of important women in Philadelphia who shaped the world. Zoe was an excellent guide - knowledgeable, interesting, attentive. Highly recommend!
Thank you!
