Description

One of our Trip's Highlights

It was an amazing tour that was one of our favorite things in our 3 day trip to Budapest. We're not trained in architecture, but it was super easy to follow. We learned how to spot the Art Nouveau Style. So after the tour, we couldn't stop looking at facades looking for the typical characteristics. Our guide was super nice and also knew plenty, also about other historical events and places we walked past. Thanks a lot!

We learned so much!

There is so much to see when visiting the extraordinary city of Budapest. Our tour helped us to better understand the history and architecture of the region. Our tour guide was delightful and very knowledgeable. She was prompt and provided us with an amazing overview of the art nouveau movement. We were able to see and experience so many buildings and neighborhoods during our tour. Would highly recommend.

More than a tour

Zsuzsa was so bright and knowledgeable. We talked about history, art, architecture, language and politics. Our trip to Budapest would not have been the same without this very special 3 hours we spent together. We saw layers of history and atmosphere that were hidden in plain site. It was so much more than just a tour of buildings. We can't recommend this experience highly enough.

Art nouveau in Budapest

Anna was kind and friendly and that is count very much , second she knew very well the history of Budapest and actually the history of the other countries too . She made this 3 hour very confortable and very interesting stories about buildings in Budapest with details . I really enjoyed guide like her . From beginning until the end at list for me was breathtaking and interesting , well obviously I am art lover so I tried to catch and learn new things . I appreciate her and I will suggest everyone take this tour . I want just add , art de nouveau is not for everyone who just want turn around city . You need to be art lover . You need love of architecture , I do. Thanks again to Anna .

Fascinating tours

I booked back to back tours - this one and Communist Budapest - with Kata as my guide. What a fabulous guide Kata is. She basically spoke for about seven hours straight - Kata was engaging, all of it was interesting, she never seemed to tire and I think I would have happily kept listening to her for the remainder of my time in Budapest. Very impressed.

Once again, thank you -- the feedback is so helpful for guides & fellow travellers. Kata just never disappoints. We're glad we managed to arrange both of your tours to be with her. Thank you, and safe travels! Elizabet

Engaging tour of hidden gems in Budapest

We really enjoyed our tour with our guide, Kata! She was so knowledgeable about the architecture and history in Budapest. We really liked this tour because we got off of the beaten path and found some incredible architecture hidden in buildings we never would have seen on our own. Worth every penny!

Peacocks, sunflowers and Miss Arizona - A super snapshot of Art Nouveau in Budapest

Kata gave us a wonderful tour of the city. From the worker bees and the bee hives to the carnations, roses, forget-me-nots and tulips she had a fabulous depth of knowledge about the history of the city, the architects, designers and all the wonderful buildings we saw. She was so generous with her time and gave us good advice and tips on other places to visit. We highly recommend this tour. Thanks again Kata

Highest recommendation

Insight Cities is the best. My guide Kata's love of the topic just shone. She was so incredibly informative. And not just about art and architecture. She shared information about the city of Budapest, history, and politics. I had a great time and didn't want the tour to end.

An architecture tour to remember

We love architecture and took the Budapest Art Nouveau tour to get an in-depth look at some graet urban palaces. The tour was an absolute highlight of our trip to Europe. Just a dream to see the outside and the inside of the Postal Bank and Greshem Palace with a warm and informative guide like Kata. The biggest surprise to us was Budapest's stunning synagogue in art nouveau. I can only recommend it!
