Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend this tour. If you’re visiting in summer, book the earliest tour possible to avoid the heat and the huge crowds that build up by the middle of the day. The meeting point was easy to find, and everything was well organised. Make sure you bring plenty of water as it gets extremely hot, especially with very little shade. We were in a small group, which made the experience much more enjoyable, and our guide spoke excellent English. They were incredibly knowledgeable and shared so much fascinating history about the Acropolis and the surrounding archaeological sites. One thing to be aware of is the timing. The tour is advertised as lasting two hours, so we planned the rest of our day around that. However, it ran at least 30 minutes over the scheduled finish time (and may have gone even longer), which unfortunately meant we had to leave before the tour had finished. That was disappointing, so I’d recommend allowing some extra time after your booking if possible. Also, the tour doesn’t go straight to the top of the Parthenon. There are many stops along the way where the guide explains the history of different sites before reaching the summit. We personally would have preferred to spend a little more time at the top, especially given the heat, but if you’re interested in the full history, you’ll really appreciate the detailed commentary. If your main goal is simply to see the Parthenon, you may be better off buying entry tickets and exploring at your own pace. We travelled with our 15- and 19-year-old daughters, and they both really enjoyed the tour as well. Overall, it was an excellent experience and a great way to learn about one of Greece’s most iconic landmarks.
Beware the sun is hot and the climb is steep. Wear sunscreen and comfortable shoes you won’t slip on or out of. Bring water (only food or beverage you’re allowed to have anyways). Guide was great and very knowledgeable. Tried to get us in the shade as much as he could. Would do it again!

A Greek guide who spoke Spanish very well and was very knowledgeable about everything we saw; excellent, the excursion was very complete.
Although our guide spoke a bit slowly, she provided interesting and concise information.
Time was of the essence, which is why I specifically booked the 7:45 a.m. slot to get an early start, avoid the heat and crowds. However, the tour didn't actually get underway until much later, and we didn't reach the gate until around 8:30–9:00 a.m. Not only did the tour fail to start on time, but six participants ended up abandoning the tour before it was completed due to the delays. This was very disappointing and did not match the experience that was advertised. They're more on the quantity rather done the quality.
It was a really good tour. Guide Eirini was very knowledgeable, passionate and thoughtful. Tour was exactly the right length - we saw everything in Acropolis, and finished before getting exhausted. Thank you Eirini!
