Incredible end-to-end experience: the organization, our guide Esneider, our translator Alejandro, our cook Alejandra. This is one of the most beautiful treks I’ve made in my life thanks to the professionalism, kindness, availability and kindness of all these people. Thanks again for everything.

Lost city is a combination of history and adventure. Super important the organization of all the people involved in the experience: cooks, muleteers, guides, translators, etc.

Our 4-day family trek to Ciudad Perdida in December 2025 was an absolutely unforgettable experience and far exceeded all our expectations. From start to finish, everything was perfectly organised. Our driver picked us up directly from our hotel in Palomino, and since it was only our family in the group, we could move at a comfortable, faster pace than larger groups. We stayed in the best lodges along the route, and each morning we even started about 15 minutes earlier than other groups, which helped us avoid congestion on the trail and enjoy the hike in a more peaceful way. Our guide Esneider was truly exceptional. He is a natural leader with deep family roots in the region, and his passion for the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta was infectious. He shared an incredible amount of first-hand knowledge about the history of the area, the ancient Tayrona civilization, the Kogi indigenous people and their culture, and the spiritual significance of the region. Meeting a Mamu (spiritual chief) was a profound and moving experience that added a deep cultural dimension to the trek, and arriving at the magnificent Ciudad Perdida itself was simply awe-inspiring. Equally fantastic was Nestor, Esneider’s co-guide and translator. His translations were clear, engaging, and thoughtful, ensuring we didn’t miss a single detail. Together, they made an amazing team, and our kids absolutely loved them both. We also truly appreciated that Ecosierra is a locally based agency in Aguacaterra, working with local guides who know everyone along the route and understand the region from first-hand experience. Knowing that most of the earnings go directly back to the local community made the experience even more meaningful, especially compared to many other agencies based in Santa Marta. We couldn’t recommend Esneider, Nestor, and Ecosierra highly enough. This was not just a trek, but a rich cultural journey we will remember forever. A wonderful experience. First I want to highlight the guide. The Francisco Barros of the Wiwa community was an excellent guide in every way: his knowledge of Tradition, and Nature, enriched the walk. He was always watching over me and encouraging me so that I could finish the walk. Patient, organized and with a nice sense of humor. Second accommodations and very good, tasty and balanced food. The design of the walk is well planned. Unfortunately there were very grown-up guys and we couldn't go on with the Buritica River. The landscapes, the mountains, on cringes. I would definitely recommend this agency ECOSIERRA and the Guide Franciso Barros, to all who want to know the Lost City

Loved the experience!!! I went with Ecosierra agency and it was spectacular, our guide Esneider was all the time watching his group, who is a very responsible and collaborative person, the walk is demanding but can be achieved. Delicious, fresh and varied food. The scenery is spectacular. This adventure is worth living. The trip was truly amazing. We had a lovely guide who provided us with a lot of information about the history of lost cities and cooombia. Also when I cut my finger he was prepared with disinsectives and was really caring (Esnaider)

Amazing experience, I recommend! Our guide Esneider and translator Duban were very attentive, always considerate, funny and very professional. Everything is well organized, delicious food in the camps in the evening. And the trek is great, you enter a sublime jungle, meet the land of kogis and the discovery of the Lost City is a suspended moment.
