Cette expérience mêle une visite immersive à pied et un repas léger et détendu à la fin – le moyen idéal d’explorer Gand avec tous vos sens. Nous commençons par une courte introduction au Vrijdagmarkt, avant de partir pour un voyage de découverte de 1,5 à 2 heures (repas inclus). En chemin, vous découvrirez l’origine du nom de Gand et remonterez aux tout débuts de la ville, dont l’histoire remonte à près de 1 400 ans. Promenez-vous dans les hauts lieux tels que Portus Ganda, le charmant port de plaisance, les trois tours médiévales emblématiques – la cathédrale Saint Bavo, le beffroi de Gand et l’église Saint Nicolas – et les quais historiques Graslei et Korenlei, autrefois le cœur dynamique du commerce médiéval. Mais Gand est bien plus que ses repères. La ville abrite trois béguinages paisibles, des musées remarquables et des parcs verdoyants. Elle a fièrement accueilli l’Exposition universelle de 1913 et s’est taillé une réputation internationale de capitale du street art, bien au-delà de la célèbre rue Graffiti.

Visite des 3 tours médiévales de Gand. Le Beffroi en fait partie. Cela vaut le détour si vous appréciez la vue depuis sa tour !
Profitez des artistes locaux et moins locaux et faites ressortir votre propre âme créative. Apportez un stylo ou une bombe !

We really enjoyed Sophie's introduction of the magical city of Ghent. She did a very nice job of introducing us to both the old and new parts of the city. We also appreciated her willingness to customize the tour to our walking speed and ability. We saw and learned about many important and interesting facts and areas of the city that we otherwise would not have known. It was a very good way of beginning our time in Ghent.

We had a wonderful tour of the city thanks to our guide Sophie. She personalized the tour just for us and our interests. We saw things we would have never known about. We admired her passion and love for the city. This is what will someday bring us back again. The lunch choice was equally as great. Nice, friendly guide with lots of knowledge about the city of Ghent. The tour lasts about 2 hours and ends with a local lunch.

The walking tour with lunch was very enjoyable. The lunch was a local place with classic Belgium food. The guide had a great deal of knowledge about Ghent. The 2-3 hour time frame was the right amount for this town.
